Personality>>
>>Though she hates to think so, Jeanne-Claire is exactly what everyone expects her to be. The rich hunter/jumper stereotype seems to have been modeled after her. Having grown up in the lap of luxury, Jeanne-Claire expects to get everything she wants the moment the desire is conceived. She has an air of self-importance, and truly believes that she is superior to others. Her socialite mother and businessman father raised her on such twisted values, and she's never thought twice about them. Despite these flaws, Jeanne-Claire always seemed to be surrounded with a group of admirers who hovered about her. She had a posse at school and a clique at the barn, and was undoubtedly the "it girl" in both places. At the barn, Jeanne-Claire can be viewed as being dismissive and spoiled, both of which she is, but this was not out of the ordinary at her stable. She never knew anything different than handing the reins off to a groom when she had finished riding, and she can hardly imagine riding at a barn that is not full-service. She's quick to smile, though anyone who is around her long enough will learn to tell the difference between her rare, genuine smile, and the fake facade that she usually wears, either mocking or hiding the truth. Still, it's not uncommon to see her wearing a defined scowl, lips pouting and eyebrows furrowed. Such an expression should serve as warning for anyone unfortunate enough to be within a 500 meter radius. As if a sun with the rest of the world as her planets, Jeanne-Claire lives in the spotlight, and refuses to survive any other way.

Secrets>>
>>About six months before coming to Blue Ridge, she spent the winter competing at WEF in Wellington and catch rode a lot of horses when she wasn't riding her own horses. Before a big hunter class, the horse she was going to ride was led away and then back a couple minutes later. Jeanne-Claire had been on the show circuit for long enough to know that the horse had been drugged, but chose not to say anything and rode the course anyways. The horse tripped while landing a jump and injured himself, but the owner blamed it on the footing, and assured Jeanne-Claire that none of it was her fault. Jeanne-Claire never told anyone about this incident.
'Let them eat cake,' she says
Appearance>> With wavy blonde hair and blue eyes, Jeanne-Claire is a classic beauty. She has the air of someone who has always known that she'd beautiful, who has never been told or thought anything differently. Her skin is fair, and smooth, like porcelain, and during the summer she gets a bit tanner, but not much. Her hair is dark blonde, with natural highlights in the top layers, and it is long, shiny, and wavy. Jeanne-Claire doesn't wear an excess of makeup, but she does know how to use it to compliment herself, and it is not uncommon to see her wearing some. On more formal occasions, she'll go a bit bolder, but will still keep it pretty and feminine. Her wardrobe consists of classic, preppy items, yet she does add some trendy touches in sometimes, and always dresses to compliment her great figure. Though tall and skinny, Jeanne-Claire somehow manages to keep from looking gawky, and instead maintains a constant elegant appearance.
Markings>> Pierced ears
Just like Marie Antoinette
Medical History>> Jeanne-Claire is prone to getting strep throat each winter.
Criminal History>> None
Full History>>
>> The Augustin name is one well known to everyone who is anyone, and then some. The family stems back generations to a French (already well off) immigrant who was one of the lucky ones who found America's streets to really be paved in gold. Since, the family has flourished, rooted in Westchester County, New York, and branching out as well. Seeming to have lived the ultimate, golden American dream, the Augustins built themselves above their peers, elevating themselves in a country built on equality. At the center of this family resides Arthur Augustin, ruler of his golden kingdom. Beside him sits Chantal Augustin, his ever-composed wife, who seemed to be promised to him from childhood, as the daughter of a similar family. The couple, of course, provided a gaggle of glittering children to continue the Augustin line. First was the rightful heir, John Augustin, natural born golden boy who is charming Harvard with his flawless smile and sculpted blonde hair, and will soon do the same in the world of politics. Second came Jeanne-Claire, the princess, and finally the twins, Louis and Charlotte.
Jeanne-Claire was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She was tended to by nannies, and always perfectly dressed up, as not to disappoint mommy and daddy. Her play was limited and she was guarded heavily from the realities of the world, distracted by shiny new things so that she didn't look around too much. Enrolled in competitive private schools from preschool age, Jeanne-Claire was only exposed to as much of the world as her parents chose to reveal to her. She was also signed up for horseback riding and tennis lessons at a young age, and she stuck with both activities, and is quite talented at both, though riding always comes first.
She got her first pony, a tiny grey Welsh, at a young age and started competing in the pony hunters early on. She traveled with her competitive show barn to all of the top shows in the area, racking up points and living the equestrian lifestyle even as a very small child. Soon she was traveling to Wellington each winter and was home-schooled there so that she could keep up with her work while showing. She grew to be the star junior rider at her barn, and a favorite of her trainer's. She was also very well known on the show circuit, as she was always very successful with her string of shiny show horses. Soon, clients from her barn and beyond began to ask Jeanne-Claire to show their horses, and she got into catch riding, hopping on horses she didn't know and showing them. This gave her tons of experience, and made her a much stronger and more confident rider.
Once Jeanne-Claire reached the eighth grade, her parents began to look at boarding schools for her. Both of her parents had attended such schools, as well as her brother, and it had become a sort of tradition in the family. Since their daughter was already heavily pursuing equestrianism, they looked at equestrian based boarding schools, since it would be difficult for her to compete and keep up her riding skills at a school that didn't fit horses into the schedule. They soon came across Blue Ridge Riding Academy, and it was decided that this would be the best place for Jeanne-Claire to spend her high school years.
