Cora had finished her Hunter/Jumper clinic that morning and had eaten a quick lunch before returning to the show jumping rings. She'd set up a jumper course earlier in the other ring, and had instructed the students to go to that ring. Most of the students from her first clinic were coming to the second, so she had given them enough time to eat their lunches and prepare or switch their horses in between the two clinics. This second clinic would focus on the specifics of show jumping and what would make jumpers courses tricky. She had rollbacks and tricky turns set up that would challenge students to get the right angle, and she'd also help them with their horses' pacing, as it was all too easy to rush through courses, while that was exactly what would earn them rails.
As each of the students entered the ring, she instructed them to mount and warm up their horses properly for jumping, and let their horses become acquainted with any jumps that may prove to be scary. She had made sure to make the jumps bold with colored poles, weird jump wings, and fillers, as this is what they'd find in their show classes.
After completing the Hunter/Jumper clinic that morning, Jeanne-Claire had walked Cricket out before returning him to his stall to untack, brush, and turn him out. She'd brought a lunch that morning, and so she ate quickly in the tack room so that she'd have time to properly tack Jack up before the second clinic. After eating, she gathering Jack's tack and brushes and walked to his stall. The horse was a bit dirty, so she took her time brushing him before tacking him up in his normal jumping equipment.
Pulling on her gloves and buckling her helmet, Jeanne-Claire led Jack out to the other jumping ring, where she found that she was first, once again. Greeting Ms. Addison with a smile, she mounted Jack and began to warm him up. He was hot, as usual, and seeing all of the fun jumps in the ring, he was ready to go. Jeanne-Claire had her hands full warming him up, just as she'd had with Cricket. With Cricket, JC just had to get the gelding in the right mindset, while with Jack, she had to control his raw power. It was going to be a tough lesson, since she wouldn't be able to totally ease down the gelding, and he'd get tougher to control as soon as they started jumping.

Show jumping, now that was what he was talking about. Although it still wasn’t cross country, he still liked this rather than dressage or hunter/jumper, although he did just finish the hunter/jumper clinic. The students had a few hours before they’d have to return to the show jumping arena for the show jumping clinic, he figured a lot of the people would be coming back from the hunter/jumper clinic. In the few hours, Tyler had untacked Roman, brush him off, and let him chill out in his stall.
Tyler had eaten a light lunch as he knew that the next discipline would be a little more physical, the last thing he needed was to bring his lunch back up in front of a lot of people. Walking back out to the barn, Ty got to work tacking the Standardbred back up and then he grabbed his helmet. The boy patted his mount’s neck and led him back out to the jumping arena. Seeing the same instructor he smiled and did as he was told.
His smile grew even bigger as he realized who the other student was, but the smile wasn’t a genuine one. Once he mounted up he rode Roman around and warmed him up.
After the hunter/jumper clinic, Amber led Rapunzel back to her stall and untacked her. She groomed her again and scratched her in her favorite place, behind her ear. Amber checked to make sure that her horse had enough hey and water. When she saw that she did, she left her to munch on her hey while she had a small lunch.
When Amber got back, she had an apple in her hand, which she held out to Rapunzel. Rapunzel eagerly took the apple. Amber smiled as she watched her chew it up, pieces falling from her mouth, and then reach her neck down to gobble up the pieces that had fallen into the straw.
Amber got her tack back out and proceeded to tack up Rapunzel again. Rapunzel seemed a little irritated and being tacked up again so quickly, but she she cooperated. Soon, Amber was leading her into the arena. She stroked her horse's neck as they stood waiting, until Ms. Addison instructed them to mount up.
Amber mounted Rapunzel, at the mounting block, and starting riding around the arena at a walk. They were finally starting to get used to riding in an arena with so many other horses and people.
