Personality>>
>> Quiet and rather shy, Ronan has always been introverted, and it takes a long time to get to know him. However, once his friend, he is incredibly loyal, and keeps secrets like no other. He becomes very attached to his friends, and will never do anything to intentionally hurt them. It hurt by them, it is a hard wound to heal, as he feels as if he's been betrayed by someone he gave a chance to. Ronan can appear to be very uptight to those who don't know him, but it's simply because he's very socially cautious and guards himself carefully. He won't say much if he isn't prompted, but can make small talk if necessary. Having grown up around horses, Ronan is more comfortable around them, and prefers their company. He is very good with horses, whether mounted or on the ground, and acts much more freely around horses, knowing that they won't care if he messes something up, and he'll be able to figure them out better if he doesn't shackle himself. A perfectionist, Ronan dwells deeply on little things, often overly anxious about them.

Secrets>>
>> Ronan has started to question his sexuality, but is terrified of the idea that he may be gay. He can't imagine admitting it to himself, or ever talking to anyone else about it. Having grown up in a Catholic household, he has not clue what to think about himself.
Just set my heart on fire
Appearance>>
>> Ronan doesn't have any outstanding flaws, but he is still very self conscious about his appearance. Pale with dark hair, he has very distinct features. His eyes are large and blue, and his face is rather narrow. He's average height for his age, but much skinnier than others, so he tends to look a bit taller due to the odd proportions, but simultaneously smaller. He hates being so slim, and despite his bad eating habits, he can't manage to gain a pound due to his fast metabolism. He keeps his hair cut at a medium length, and styles it minimally. Ronan's wardrobe consists mostly of simple t-shirts and jumpers with chinos or khakis (he much prefers pants to shorts). He burns in the sun very easily, and always needs to wear sun block.
Markings>>
>> Ronan has a light scar on his shoulder from a horse that bit him while he was tightening its girth.
Like gasoline
Medical History>>
>> Ronan has experienced common childhood illnesses. He also broke two ribs in a cross country accident, but healed well and is now fine. He also has an anxiety disorder, and has been through therapy, and knows how to cope with it for the most part, though he does occasionally experience anxiety attacks.
Criminal History>> None
Full History>>
>> Ronan was born into a family rich in love and nurture. His young parents lived a small, quaint life in the Irish countryside. His father's family was always in the horse business, breeding and training eventing horses on their farm. Ronan's father inherited this business, and he and his small family lived on the farm, running the fairly small business. Ronan's mother didn't know much about horses, but she put her heart into it all, learning the basics of horses. However, she preferred to take care of the business side of things and care for her young son, while her husband was in charge of the horses.
When Ronan was five, his mother died from pneumonia, leaving him and his father alone. Ronan and his father became very close, spending all of their time together, and Ronan grew up on their farm. He was constantly on horseback, and when he was six, his mother's favorite broodmare gave birth to a filly that Ronan grew especially attached to. Most of the horses were sold off eventually, but Ronan's father kept the filly for Ronan, and the two grew up together. Because they bred horses for eventing (and would train a a couple), Ronan learned to event, but never competed a ton, preferring to compete with himself. He'd attend a few trials a year, but was never really competitive.
In school, Ronan had a few close friends that stuck with him through the years, but he wasn't especially social. Shy and introverted, Ronan preferred to only speak freely with those close to him. Preferring to be invisible otherwise, Ronan kept to himself, finding comfort in his friends and family, but never making an effort to branch out.
Ronan and his father are devout, practicing Catholics, and faith has always been a big part of their lives. Ronan also grew up appreciating the land around him. His father always made an effort to educate him outside of school on parts of culture he deemed especially important, and therefore, Ronan is educated in and has an interest in a wide range of topics, specifically art and literature. His father is a renaissance man of sorts, and passed this quality on to his son as best he could, cultivating a passion for learning in him. He has given Ronan piano lessons throughout his life, and Ronan is quite good, though he will rarely perform for anyone.
Recently, Ronan began to question his sexuality. Though he's always had an inkling that something may be a bit "different" about him, he always shoved the thought down, and continues to do the same now, for the most part. He's terrified that he may be gay, and what social and spiritual implications it would have on himself and his family. He still avoids thinking about this possibility when possible.
When it came to choosing a high school, Ronan's father did a lot of research, wanting the best education for his son, even if it may be a bit trying on them financially. Ronan was content to stay at home, where comfortable with his father, but couldn't help but be interested in an equestrian boarding school. His father found Blue Ridge and wanted to give his son the best opportunities that he could to make a living in the equestrian world, assuring him that if he didn't like it he could go right back home. Though hesitant, Ronan agreed, and came to Blue Ridge, hoping to find himself and make the best of the opportunity his father gave him.
