Today would be what Leo would class as a bad day. It was getting closer to the start of actual winter, yet the weather was reasonably warm, but as far as he was concerned, it may as well be the middle of summer. He was having trouble keeping his food, and meds, down and was burning up - though he didn't have a fever, he just felt hot.
With his system full of Tylenol, he left his dorm, and made his way toward Evening Primrose. They had been assigned their foal assignments and he wanted to get to Know Wit outside of the class so that he would benefit working with the colt all the more during class. It also gave him a chance to go and say hello to the mare he had worked with the year before while he had been in Sir Solomon's class.
Arriving at the barn, he saw that there had been a makeshift fence connecting the barn to the starting arena, so, after grabbing a couple of treats and the foal's brush from the tack room, this is where he headed.
Although all of the foals were chestnut in colour, it didn't take him long to spot the Morgan colt that he was working with, and he made his way over to where Witt was standing on three spindly legs while he used his teeth to scratch the fourth. "Hey, baby." He said softly as he reached the colt and laughed as the chestnut almost lost his balance as he put the raised hind leg back on the ground before ambling over and searching the boy for treats. "Here you go." He said softly as offered the colt one of the treats he was holding.
