He has also been known to be flirty - with the ladies. In an effort to hide his true sexuality and live a "normal" life, Cole tries to always have his sights set on one girl or another. While he enjoys the time he spends with his friends, Cole also looks forward to the quiet solitude that comes with a run in the park, or a room to himself at the end of a long day. He is a motivated person, always pushing himself to do better academically and otherwise. This motivation comes from Cole's desire to be someone his friends and family can be proud of. There are few things he does purely for himself and his own happiness.

Appearance>> Cole is of an average height - about 5'9" - and average build - about 165lb. While running keeps him lean and fit, he is by no means a fitness nut. He has dark brown hair that he keeps relatively long at the top, allowing him to style it as he pleases. His dark hair allows his kind, blue eyes to stand out on his narrow face. Cole's bleached white, orthodontically straightened teeth make his friendly smile one that would stand out in any crowd. While he himself is not into designer clothing, his parents gifted him with an expensive wardrobe. He will often be seen in well-fitting jeans and brand-name shirts. Overall, he always looks well put together no matter what he may be doing.

But I’ve gotta let it go

Full History>> Cole McGregor was born to Linda and Gary McGregor, socialites who live in the Upper East side of Manhattan, New York. The couple had been experiencing difficulty conceiving a child, with fertility doctors all but giving up after many years of hormone treatments and attempts at in-vitro fertilization. Just as the couple was beginning to consider adoption, they discovered that Cole was on his way. Cole became their miracle baby. Never struggling to find success with investing, the family never struggled for money, and Cole never wanted for anything. Even as a young and quickly growing child, Cole's parents outfitted him in designer brands and bought him only the best and most engaging toys. Seeing this well put-together family in their spotless penthouse, one quickly becomes aware that appearances are very important to Linda and Gary McGregor.
Cole, the friendly, intelligent, stereotypically handsome boy, fit in well with his parents' show of a beautiful family living a perfect life. His parents loved showing him off at various socialite get-togethers, always bragging about his quick development and vast accomplishments. As Cole grew up, however, the pressure to be perfect chafed at him. Being surrounded by individuals only interested in the most superficial of pursuits left him privately rejecting his parents' lifestyle and yearning for something deeper. Being an only child who was always doted on and encouraged to please those around him, however, Cole never stopped trying to find new ways to make his parents proud of him.
Around the age of 12, Cole began to realize that his feelings toward his male peers took on a different tone than simply male friendship. He also did not seem to be as interested in his female peers than his male friends were. Being raised in a loosely Christian socialite household, Cole hadn't had much exposure to any positive portrayals of homosexuality, thus he ignored his confusing feelings and followed his classmates' examples of young pre-teen heterosexual flirting. Early in his freshman year of high school, however, he discovered that his feelings of strong longing for his male friend were mutual, and the two began to discreetly experiment. It didn't take long for Cole's parents to discover what was going on. Cole was reprimanded for his out-of-line behavior, reminded that homosexuality is considered a sin, and warned against any further "regressions." Cole realized that in order to be someone his parents would be proud of, he would have to suppress his most personal wants and desires.
Back when all of Cole's parents' friends were getting their children into horseback riding at one of the only barns that was in New York City, Cole found himself signed up for lessons as well. He took to the sport quickly, always looking forward to his time with the horses. While his life was filled with too many extra-curriculars for him to truly progress and succeed in horseback riding, it was always the one activity he did that he genuinely enjoyed for reasons other than "it might look good on a college application." Therefore, after his parents uncovered Cole's feelings toward his male friend, they decided to send Cole to Blue Ridge Riding Academy. It would allow Cole to explore his passion for horses, it was an upper-end, quality boarding school, and, perhaps most importantly, it would get Cole away from temptations presented by being close to his friend. Cole, reluctant to leave the life he knew but not blind to the potential benefits of being away from his family, agreed to the transfer and soon found himself packing his possessions to move to a new life.
We found love in a hopeless place
