The Personality
Personality: Lace can act a little temperamental at times but normally she's a nice mare. Only when she's in season does she get a little temperamental and the rest of the time she's lovely. She loves children and is interested in everything. She's well behaved and normally doesn't act up. Lace is pretty much bombproof though she likes to go. She's a reining horse and she was built for speed. There's no slow with her. It's either whoa or go...rarely there's a median between the two with her. She can go slow for Sarah but she will never lope or jog as slow as a pleasure horse. She listens to her rider but she also must trust her rider. Lace is not afraid to test and Sarah has to be on her about everything otherwise she'll find out what she can get away with. She loves to work though and is always eager to see Sarah.
Caution Around:Brushes(she likes to knock them into her stall);Food(she loves her grain though she would never hurt someone over it)
The History
Basic History: Born at a Quarter Horse farm Lace of Spanish Night was the offspring of Nights Lace Desire and Spanish Movement. Both her dam and sire were reining champions so it was in her blood to be a reining horse. Once she was broke she was taught the art of reining. At 6 she was sold to someone who taught her barrels and she ran barrels until she was 9 along with doing reining.
At 9 years old Sarah saw her ad and questioned about the mare finding out that she was still available in Dallas. Making the trip out to see the mare they clicked immediately and Sarah bought her providing she passed a vet exam. Lace passed with flying colors and was moved to Sarah's ranch where she began to do more reining again. Lace and Sarah entered more and more competitions. After two years of doing trickier and trickier patterns now Lace is going to Kentucky with Sarah.
