The Personality
Personality:
Homer is a bull in a china shop when handling him from the ground. On the other hand, when on his back, Homer becomes virtually bombproof. A surge of courage envelopes him while the rider is on his back, but with this comes a problem. He tends to rely on the rider more than he should, which can lead to trouble if not paying attention.
When on the ground, he tends to be skittish and spooks at anything that moves too quickly. Homer also can be quite pushy if he doesn't get what he wants. To fix this, the handler must be cautious to what he is doing and where he wants to go. Whether giving in to what he wants, or just making it aware, knowing where his feet want to go and be a big advantage in correcting him.
Unfortunately, Homer is not food motivated by any means. That's where catching him becomes a problem. If not brought in around his schedule, Homer will run laps around the pasture to avoid being caught, even if it means more work than what you'd ask of him while riding. The best way to fix this is to follow at set schedule or get him alone.

The History
Basic History:
Homer was a product of Virginia and has never adapted from it. He still has the winter coat of a yearly spring horse, even though Ohio gets very cold in the winter. He was put through the basics of training until he was five, then sold off to another trainer. Maks bought Homer for his daughter when she was thirteen as a birthday present. Eira has been attached to his shoulder ever since she got him.
