Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Today was the first day I actually got to meet Fish in person. He’s a rather quiet, meek kinda guy, but all the more adorable. When Dr. Carr explained to me and Rose about our ponies, she said how he simply needed to be shown things slowly. He even got a bit spooked when I (the idiot) began to immediately groom him with a curry comb. He’s definitely a slow motion horse, though as the time went on, he let him give him a few good rubs and became a bit less on guard.
I realized speaking to him helps very much, which I am glad. He seems to like soft, quiet voices, not loud and brash ones, so I’ve been telling him tidbits of my day and random facts and so. I don’t know if he understands it or not, though I am sure can infer I mean no harm of any sort by my tone. He’s actually a very handsome little horse – as he is fourteen three; just barely making it past the pony mark. I can see us getting along hopefully, as I’m very excited to continue with him.
I only groomed him today to get used to him – it’s somewhat like a dance, to show him everything and talk to him and pet him. To my surprise, he actually likes to be pet, though he wasn’t forward at all. He’s very reserved as a horse, and I imagine, if he was a human, he’d be someone extremely quiet and rather meek. I think my main job here is to give him a shot of confidence and make a companion for him. He’s very easily intimidated by other things unfortunately, but hopefully he can see that I just want to be his friend.
