With two tack box sitting side by side and Cowboy quick tied to a post outside of the White Oak barn, Chris moved around trying to get ready for his two horses’ departure. Freedom and Cowboy were off to a new home; at least they were going together. The twenty-two year old had rationed with himself and finally decided that he really only needed two horses. Crystal for Mia and Dreamer for him, Cowboy would get a good ride from the young girl that he was going to, an aspiring barrel racer. As for Freedom she could possibly get a little more broke and trained.
”Daddy where are Freedom and Cowboy going?” Mia pulled on her father’s sleeve and looked at him with big brown eyes. ”They’re going to a better home where they can get ridden more.” Chris smiled down at his daughter. Soon enough a truck and trailer rumbled up into the parking lot next to the barn. Both Freedom and Cowboy had their shipping things on. Hi, you must be Chris.. Putting on a smile the man nodded, ”Yes sir and these are your new mounts.” Chris pointed towards the mare and gelding. Helping the man load the horses and equipment into the trailer both Mia and Chris said their last good-byes and then they were gone. Off to their new home.
