The Personality
Personality: Blitzen is about as sweet a horse as you can get. Sasha acquired him when he was a very green 4 year old, and now they have a near unbreakable bond. He has excellent ground manners; never bites, kicks, or bucks. While riding, he certainly is quite energetic, hence why he usually uses a full cheek bit. Blitzen gets along great with the other horses, and doesn't have a single enemy. He is an extremely competitive show horse, and will not go down without a fight. However, he spooks extremely badly around loud noises, but he would never purposely try to hurt someone. For being so young, he certainly is quite mature!

The History
Basic History: Blitzen was born on a stud farm in New York. His dam was a purebred TB, and his sire was a Hanoverian Dutch WB X. He was originally trained to be a show jumping horse, but it was later found out that he had a lot of potential as an eventer. His calm disposition allowed him to be trained very fast, so when Sasha purchased him at 4, he was green, but not as green as he could've easily been. The stud farm had no use of him as a stud, so there was no point of keeping him at the farm. He was sold to Sasha's family for an undisclosed amount of money to be trained.

Personality>> Mickey is a complete people pleaser who will go out of his way to do something right. In fact, if he doesn't do something right, he becomes very frustrated with himself. However, this leads to determination so this isn't really much of a problem. Since he is a trained and seasoned jumper, he likes to have his way throughout the course, and he hates it when riders try to interfere with his mojo while he is jumping. You do this, and you will be on the ground within a minute, guaranteed. However, this can get quite confusing when during a jumping course the rider just sits there and does nothing, completely trusting Mickey with every decision. This is also a wrong choice, seeing as he needs a confident hand and a reassurance that a rider is on him, or else he will bolt and take off on you. All of these quirks aside, Mickey is a very friendly horse who loves treats and attention.

Basic History>> Mickey was born on an elite jumping farm in a southern region of the Netherlands. His parents were very successful jumpers who competed on the Dutch Olympic Team. Because of this, from a young age Mickey was expected to do extraordinary things. He was gelded as a yearling to improve his performance on the show jumping circuit, so the stud life was not expected for him. Mickey began his training at age two, and he learned quite quickly and soon became a bit of a young prodigy around the farm.

Once he turned three, he began to jump. Mickey's trainers sensed an enormous amount of talent in him, just as expected. As he jumped higher and higher, his trainers realized that this horse had the scope to do just about any equestrian sport. So, at six years old, he began competing in large-scale show jumping competitions across Europe. As Mickey began racking up wins, his owners decided that the gelding would have greater options for competition in the United States. So, Mickey's owners sold him to a high class jumping stable in America. It was at this stable that he first began to dabble into cross country, and love it. Soon, after about two years, Mickey was almost as great at eventing as he was at show jumping. During this time, he still continued competing in national jumping shows all across the country. It was then that Sasha's father first saw Mickey in action. He made a hefty offer, but it was declined at the time because Mickey was not for sale. Sasha's father has been watching him ever since rack up win after win on the American circuit for two years before it was announced to him that Mickey was being put up for sale due to financial reasons. Instantly, Sasha's father pounced on the offer and bought Mickey for an even heftier sum before sending him to Blue Ridge.
