Appearance>> Valerie Marie is a short, but not too short, lanky girl with a slightly-built body. She's not the most graceful girl you will ever meet, but that isn't exactly her fault. She is a brunette and she has flushed rosy cheeks that compliments her fair skin complexion. Val prefers to make eye contact with people when she is speaking. Although, lately, after what she has been through, she had not want to look at anyone because she's been feeling a bit depressed, but who could blame her? Full History>> Valerie Marie or as she prefers, Vals, has been through a lot in only a matter of years. Her parents are travel agents and ever since she was very little, she has been moving around a lot. During her Freshmen year, she attended Woodrow Wilson High School in New Jersey where she had a boyfriend, named Chase.
She has Anorexia. Valerie's very self-conscious so when she was told multiple times that she's fat, she took it pretty hard. This occurred after the divorce when she was already feeling miserable. She refused to eat for days on end.Her parents still don't know about her disorder and she hopes to keep it that way. If it were not for Chase, she probably would have starved herself. He's the one who was smart enough to figure it out and he's the one who took her to see a doctor about it. Even though she's eating now, she's still somewhat underweight. Although now, it could pass if she claims she just has a fast metabolism. She's been through a lot, most of which she has learned to keep to herself. Her story is hers to share and is absolutely no one else's business. When her parents moved her yet again, her boyfriend decided to try the long-distance relationship. However, in the end, it didn't work out for them. So, they decided to take a year or so off and see other people. If in the near future they meet again, then they will try dating again. If that happens, they will see where things go from there. Valerie's broken heart shook her up a bit and as a result, she has put up walls in order to protect herself, or so she says.
Even though Val has always loved horses, she has never attended a riding academy. She's has a lot of experience riding at a nearby stable. Valerie began riding at thirteen. Ever since, riding has always helped her get her mind off of everything. At her old stable, she rode a horse named Ember. Valerei hopes to learn how to jump and to improve her dressage skills since she knows she has the potential to do so.
Although breaking through her walls may be a difficult task, it is not by any means impossible. While she might not be getting straight As, she does manage to maintain As and Bs and what she lacks in the academic department makes up for her skills as a rider. Valerie is entering the BRRA, fresh and ready for a new start. While she may have had a hard time in the past with fitting in, she's determined to make BRRA her home.
