It was the small things in life that she enjoyed most of all, especially on warm Summer days that made up for being alone on campus in a way. Not alone, as there were various students, but alone in the sense that she hadn't had the opportunity to make friends just yet. Classes started soon, so there would no problem in meeting new people. She had just finished mucking out Aladdin's stable, and had fluffed up the bedding, making sure that the water bucket was full. The gelding was out in his paddock, and she was catching up with the tasks that sometimes seemed to slip by during the busier times.
She had already fetched Aladdin's tack from the tack room, and sat down outside his stable on a hay bale, dismantling the bridle and setting the pieces down, before doing the same with the saddle. While the tack had been wiped down for the show, Dani wanted to clean and oil the leather to make sure that there wasn't any cracks or possible breaks that may make Aladdin uncomfortable. The dressage saddle that she had bought for Aladdin had stayed in the tack room, as it was still new enough to warrant it not being cleaned.
Putting her iPod buds into her ears, she turned on her music and blocked the world out.
