Personality>> Kay is down-to-earth, trustworthy, no nonsense and straightforward. She doesn't beat around the bush, preferring to call things as she sees it. It can make her friends, as well as enemies. More often than not, the latter, though Kay couldn't really care, because her feelings are if that people cannot handle the truth, then they shouldn't be in her life. That doesn't mean that she spews random truths the whole time, but if the situation calls for it, then she'll talk. It's borderline sociopathic behaviour, which made her ideal for intelligence. The difference though, is that she has a lot of empathy for people, and other sentient beings. She's a strict vegetarian because of this. She does suffer from PTSD, however it has become better since she has been in therapy. It does make her unpredictable around loud, sudden noises. Kay is trustworthy, and doesn't mind people unloading their problems on her, as long as it isn't something that could have severe legal implications. She's smart, almost scarily so, and is quick to pick up on cues and habits.

Worked in naval intelligence, she was high up, and once she was honorably discharged, was told that was never allowed to speak of what she knows, and that she is being watched.
Appearance>> Kay is fairly tall at 6 feet, and what adds to her height is that she likes wearing boots, jeans and short sleeved shirts with leather jackets. Her style is very casual, and relaxed. She has blond hair, natural colour, that she prefers to wear loose. You know is Kay is thinking deeply when she pulls her up into a ponytail. Every once in a while, she enjoys dressing up, more for formal occassions than anything else. Her sense of style is practical more than fashionable. She has light, hazel coloured eyes that usually have a mischievous glint in them when she is in a good mood, but as the expression goes, the eyes are the window to the soul, and this is also true for Kay. She wears minimal make-up, some foundation and light eye shadow with eyeliner, but nothing heavy or overbearing, preferring the natural look. She is lithe and atheletic in build, probably stemming from the fact that she is bit of an exercise fanatic.

Full History>> Kay is the first born daughter of Belinda and Captain Jake Pope. She has a younger brother, who is 21. She was born into a long line of naval officers, on both sides of the family. Both her great-grandfathers served in the First World War, and her grandfathers served in the Second. Her mother is the only one who broke away from tradition, and became a school teacher. Although the family did move around a lot, it was when Kay turned 10, that they moved permanently to Washington D.C, her father accepting a position at the Pentagon.
Kay grew up with war time stories, especially since her maternal grandfather was British, and her paternal one was American, so one can imagine that she also heard various accounts of the Second World War, and about the Gulf War from her father. While her mother would have wished that Kay would grow up being the girly-girl, she was the complete opposite, preferring to play in the mud and with the boys instead of with dolls and hosting playtime tea parties. Kay's childhood was a fairly happy one, until she was enrolled into school.
She struggled to make friends, unable to relate to children her age, and the moving around also made it difficult. She was extremely smart, and sailed through her classes, always in the top of her class. She didn't have anything better to do really than study. Her mother was desperate to help her daughter escape the monotany of life. And so the horse riding lessons started. Though Kay didn't enjoy the calm and stable type of ponies, but the ones that problems or issues, the ones that bucked and disliked people. It gave her challenge, and destroyed the boredom that she found herself in. One of these ponies was a 14.1 hand, buckskin gelding named Dragonair. He was one of those opionated and pray that you survive types, but it was love at first sight. The pair worked well together.
When Kay turned 18, and graduated, she followed in her father's footsteps, joining the Navy. She worked in Naval Intelligence, her skills and smarts putting her ahead of her peers. The work interested her, but she also knew that her mother was disappointed in her. After all, her mother thought that the Navy was the last place for a woman to be.
A few years later, Kay was sent to Afghanistan on her first tour with the Navy.
Her last tour to Afghanistan saw a set of circumstances that no one could really imagine. The memory is fuzzy even for Kay. All that she really remembers waking up in hospital, having gone through a knee replacement and she received an honourable discharge. Kay moved back in with her parents, but something wasn't right. She wasn't herself. Her father eventually got her the help she needed, and she was diagnosed with PTSD. The therapy helped, and she got a job backing horses at the local barn.
She start dating David Thompson, someone that she met during her time in the Navy, and they were pretty serious for about three years. However, her inability to seriously commit, and talk about her commitment issues, meant that he grew restless, and she was unhappy. Their break up wasn't a pleasant one.
Feeling that Washington was smothering her, Kay now moves to BRRA to start a new life in Kentucky.

Personality>> Lily is one of those Beagles. The type that never grows of the destruction phase. Nothing can be left at ground level when this playful dog is around, as you can be guaranteed that it'll be gone in the blink of an eye. She's a typical Beagle when it comes to her selective hearing, but she does enjoy any game that involves food. She's excellent with agility, and children, basically anyone who plays with her will be her bff. Lily is also a faithful companion, only strays from Kay's side when given permission to do so.
History>> Lily was a gift to Kay from her now ex-boyfriend, and the only present she kept. Lily was the runt of the litter, and struggled to grow during the first few months of her life. Once she was with Kay though, she thrived on the love and attention that she received, but she'll always be smaller than your average Beagle. What she lacks in size though, she more than makes up in personality.
