Okay, it's actually not too exciting yet. I don't have pictures, sorry. :- \
Vanda went back for breeder evaluations on 1/3, she'll be evaluated as a breeder, and if they choose not to keep her for that, she'll be spayed and start her Guide Dog training! Nabu is getting huge, she's seven months tomorrow. I won't be seeing much of her because she's going to be puppy-sat by someone who can take her to work daily for a week, although I may be handling her on an outing in two weeks! I didn't get to see Aria or the two new puppies today so no updates there.
Foals - I've been assigned to three for this quarter, they don't have their own names yet but we're supposed to do their registration paperwork next week! So names may be changing eventually, although I think it's a long process. I don't have too much information on most of them, especially sires, except for the one I could actually look up. They're all three fillies, though, so there's that.
Tiztuff '15 - By Im the Town Sleeper (2000 AQHA bay stallion - Appendix (half and half) - pedigree) and out of Tiztuff (2004 bay Jockey Club mare - pedigree - Yes, she raced a few times but not much). She's going to be huge, Sleeper is 17hh and Tiztuff isn't small either. She's a bit mouthy, both lead rope and human, and I've managed to get bitten by her once so far... We're going to nip that right in the bud.
Chex Whiz '15 - By someone and out of Chex Whiz (2008 AQHA mare - Pedigree). Hates being approached and hates being hurried, but is okay being led and handled otherwise. Can't be too tentative with her, though. She's currently the smallest of our ten foals. X- P I get the biggest and the smallest, it's fun.
Lightning Juice '15 - By someone and out of Lightning Juice. There's really not much more info on her parents right now that I can find, although I'm sure we'll get lectured on it soon. I think she's full QH as well, though, she's small-ish. Joel said she was supposed to be really flighty about being haltered, so I'm starting with just petting and working around her head and then on Wednesday I'm supposed to see how she does being haltered by me. He was impressed with the fact that I didn't even have to back her into a corner to pet her, though! She'll learn to love me, you'll see. :- P
So that's about it for the first day. Haltering and walking are our jobs for this week, pretty much. And getting Tiztuff to not bite me, because as luck would have it, her three pen-mates are all mouthy as well. Was lots of fun working in there today!
I'll get photos soon... As soon as I can be sure that my camera won't be eaten. :- P
