Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Ryan shed his thick jacket, which was covered with a number of white hairs, courtesy of Sunny, onto his office chair. Looking around at the neat room, empty but mostly clean, he frowned, trying to remember where he had left his math homework. Finally remembering, he dug through his knapsack until he pulled out the notebook and the worksheet that had been stuck in where their notes had ended. After finding a pencil through the same method, he sat down at his desk, turning on the radio that sat on the corner for a bit of music as he set up his work space. After tuning in to a station that he would at least be able to work with, he settled down to look at the math he was doing.
They had just recently started working on a scavenger hunt project, and he was supposed to brainstorm places that he might be able to find the various geometric terms they had been learning about. Sighing, he looked over the list, tapping the pen against his chin. Circles were easy, with the round pen being the first thought, but clocks, glasses, and plates making appearances as well. He struggled slightly on the polyhedron, trying to think of something that would work as an example of that in real life. Frustrated, he leaned back, tapping his pen against the table as he thought, staring out of the window.
The scene was so familiar as he urged his old, spluttering truck up the driveway, excitement boiling in his veins. Pippin, mimicking a wolf whistle, hung upside down from her perch in her cage beside him. However, today he was not pulling his horse trailer. Sherbet and Bionic were already at the academy, having been dropped off by a friend a couple of days ago. He'd been helping his mother, her boyfriend, well fiancé, and sister move into their new home in a town five hours away. He was glad that his family was now closer, but it had taken Fox a while to return to the academy as while he'd been helping with the move, he'd discovered a lot of paranormal activity. He'd been unable to tear himself away from the new town. But now it was time to return, and there was one person Fox was ridiculously looking forward to seeing.
It did not take long for Fox to check back in, and since he already knew his way around the academy. Miss Harris didn't have many questions to answer. Pippin continued to share her impression of a hormone ridden male seeing a beautiful woman as they walked up to White Ribbon house. The bird, garnering a few amused looks, cooed under the attention. She eventually stopped with the wolf whistling and finally fell silent. Instead, she began to prune herself. Her crown flicked up, the scarlet feathers standing out against her black bodice and she seemed to hum contently as she made sure she looked her best. Fox easily ignored her, his attention fixed on the eagerness to get to his room to greet his best friend and room mate, Ryan. They hadn't really spoken much while Fox had been away, other than a few texts. It seemed that both had been very busy. He doubted that it would change their friendship though. They always acted so naturally around one another. Ryan was the person Fox could really be himself around, not that he hid much from anyone.
The male practically vibrated with excitement as he climbed the stairs to get to his room. Pippin, sensing this, began to call out in her new favourite noise which was a dog barking. Fox chuckled as he passed people and they exclaimed their greetings of him being back, or complained that the nosiest pair in the academy were back. He greeted many warmly, but didn't stop. He wanted his Ryan. He'd talk to other people later. As he came to his room, he grinned broadly and threw the door open. Pausing just enough to put Pippin's cage down safely and then drop his bags, he barrelled toward the chair Ryan was sat on and knocked it over. His arms wrapped around the boy he was now sprawled on top of and grinned at him wildly. "RYAN!!!!!" He exclaimed in pure delight, hugging him tightly. "I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!!" He continued to yell, unable to stop himself. He was like a puppy whose owner had just returned from work. Without thinking, he gave the boy a big, sloppy kiss on the cheek. He thought nothing of it and just continued to grin at the boy. He hoped Ryan was just as pleased to see him.
Watching the kids in the football field kicking around a soccer ball, Ryan continued tapping his pen against his desk, willing his brain to think of a polyhedron that he could write about. As his gaze narrowed, and he focused on the black and white sphere that the kids were kicking around, he snorted, amused at his lack of observation. He turned back to his paper and wrote down the answer, which had, rather obviously, been staring him in the face.
Just as he had finished writing down as many round-ish shaped balls that he could think of, Ryan heard the door fly open. He had just enough time to drop his pen and look around in surprise when he felt a force hitting his chair, and himself falling backwards. As he hit the floor, he looked at the male who was know sprawling on top of him, hugging him, rather forcibly. It took a moment for his brain to catch up to what was happening, by which time Fox was already yelling happily. Slowly disentangling his arms, he returned the embrace, "I missed you as well! How are you?" He knew that his roommate had been gone, helping to settle his family in to a new home, but they hadn't talked too much, so he knew very little about what had transpired in the past month.
As Fox kissed his cheek, Ryan felt his eyes widen, but he tried to pass off his surprise with a raised eyebrow. He should have remembered to never be surprised by whatever in the world Fox did, not after the many events that had occurred since the excitable boy had first arrived at the school. Feeling slightly crushed, Ryan shifted his weight, rolling Fox to the side, onto the floor, and sat up, a smile on his face as he looked around and saw Pippin, "So you haven't killed her yet?"
