Personality>>Jack is a fairly outgoing, extroverted individual. His temper is rarely seen, but when it is, watch out.His patience is well practiced, but not perfect. Compassion and empathy are some of his best traits, if he feels an individual is deserving. Being judgemental is something he struggles with, with reason. His past reflects a hellish cycle of betrayal and hurt, so he relys heavily on his judgement to preserve his scarred heart. He's not ashamed of his history, and will tell it if asked, but his bragging, arrogant days are (mostly) behind him. His Devil Dog comes out when he gets fired up and passionate in conversation, and to some it appears to be boastful or proud. He's just another male Marine.

Secrets>>Jack has a lot of things not many people know about from when he was in the Corps, but his biggest secret of all and one very few people know about was that he was having an affair with a higher ranking, married female Marine. Nobody ever found out, but some of his closest brothers know about it, only due to drunken chatter; otherwise, he keeps that one hidden deep down inside.
Appearance>> Jack stands five foot, ten inches, with a fit, atheletic build. His hands are scarred from many mishaps in the shop or working outside. He maintains a healthy scruff across his chin and jaw, embracing that he no longer has to shave every morning. His deep blue eyes tend to change color, drifting from a misty blue-gray to bright royal tones. He's extremely expressive, and between the curl at the corner of his mouth, the quirk of his eyebrow, or squint in his eyes, he'll always silently tell you his thoughts. He bears no limp or abnormalities in his gait, he walks tall, squared up, and proud. It's who he is, and he will embrace it in every motion.
Markings>> Unlike most Marines, he avoided getting the cliche "moto tat" of the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, anywhere on his body. And he is not branded with "USMC" anywhere either. He does, however, have a rugged cross centered on his upper back. The ink spreads down his spine and outstretches to his shoulder blades. He holds his religion close to him, and he wanted to solidfy that by placing the cross on his back.
Medical History>> Countless broken bones, sprains, and strains have riddled him his entire life. His ankles are all sorts of jacked up, and he rarely goes a day without knee or back pain. Nothing extensively major, however, but he may b**ch about any one of his aches and pains every once in a while.
Criminal History>> In the military, there's what's called "Non-Judicial Punishment," basically getting in trouble without getting the boys in blue involved, which, he has encountered for a good handful of things. Civilian court, however, he has never been involved with, and typically he stays on the good side of those who walk the blue line.
Full History>> Jack comes from a fairly average suburban home. He was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and was the youngest of a family of 5. He had two older sisters, one 3 years older than him, and the other 6 years older. Parents still happily married, and still living. He grew up as the "rebel child." However, this isn't the typical term of "rebel," it was his family's version of the word. By no means did he get into any real trouble, he was just the more adventurous of the siblings.
Both of his sisters went to the little high school their parents wanted them to go, were on the honor roll, student leadership, all the fancy extra-curriculars. He, on the other hand, wanted to go to a different high school. Similar to his parents' choice, but not the cookie-cutter follower that they expected him to be. The same happened with college, he didn't follow his sisters' footsteps and go to the same college. They both graduated with honors in their business degrees, but he wanted something different. After taking a year off school, he went to college for criminal justice. He soon became bored, and joined the Marine Corps after his first year of college.
His time in the Marine Corps was the longest, fastest 4 years of his life. He experienced all that every Marine goes through, and he'll tell anyone all about it, but his loyalty still runs bold, and don't let his complaining ever fool you. He's a Marine true and true.
Once getting out of the Corps, he needed some quiet time. He found himself revisting something that was normally forced on him by his sisters - horses. Like most girls, his sisters went through the "horsey phase" and drug him along to all the riding lessons, shows, and hoopla of the equine world. As a youngen, he hated it. It was a chore. They may have never owned horses, they didn't have the time nor the land, but whenever he was forced to be around his sisters' leased horse(s), he hated it.
Growing older, he found a new serenity at the barn. When he was stationed in North Carolina, there was a barn near base. He began visiting more and more often, kindling a new passion he had yet to discover. After getting out, he didn't even bother to go home. He found himself in the heart of horse country, and refused to leave. He doesn't yet own a horse, simply being in the atmosphere of the barn is therepuetic enough for him. He has his dog that he got during his first year in, and that's all he needs.
Pet Name>>Flicka
Registered Name>>N/a
Age>>1 1/2 years old
Gender>> Female
Species>> Canine
Breed>>Minature Australian Shepherd
Registry>>
n/aPersonality>>Flicka is full of all sorts of sugar and spice, and everything nice. The term "princess" doesn't even begin to cover this pup. She has lots of respect for Jack, but if there's any chance to show the slightest bit of attitude or sass, she'll take it. On the flipside, she can be the sweetest, most darling little creature on the planet if she knows one of two things: either there's something in it for her, or she knows there's something very wrong. If you earn her respect right off the bat, she'll listen to you till the end of time, but if you let her bully you...you're in for it now.
History>> Jack bought Flicka just months after he got stationed in NC. She's a Miniature Australian Shepherd, and he got her at 12 weeks old. Jack leaving on his deployments was hard for her, adjusting to living with new people in a new home, but her loyalty and bond with him only grew stronger each time he'd return. Since he got out of the Marine Corps, they have yet to leave each other's sides.
