He tends to get on well with more sedate people but is very good at also handling folks who have personalities that more closely resemble tornadoes due to his implacable exterior calm. He works well with children, tends to greet everyone with a smile, and will be friendly to a fault. After all, a proper Southern gentleman will be polite until he's ready to kill you, as the saying goes.

Appearance>> In a word: Massive. Obediah is a huge and powerful man, standing at 6'9" and weighing well over 350lbs, he has worked all his life at manual labor that eventually became heavy manual labor and the results are in every inch of his physique. He keeps his hair short, tends toward long sleeves (because work requires it this time around), and sports a short well kept beard year round. At leisure he prefers A-shirts because they're cooler and less restrictive, but otherwise sticks with his jeans and work boots motif. His wife always told he cleaned up nice so he keeps one immaculate suit in his closet for just in case.
Markings>> Obediah's right arm has a full sleeve tattoo, while his left arm has a tribal briar thing that he endlessly regrets getting.
Medical History>> Obediah injured his left knee wrestling in college but it doesn't bother him as long as he keeps a compression sleeve on it during strenuous labor.

Full History>> Obediah was born and raised in the great state of North Carolina, in a little town called High Point. The son of a truck driver and a school teacher, he gained his experience and appreciation for animal husbandry from his Pawpaw's farm and his mother's great love for horses respectively. His mother, after college but before taking up full time employment as an educator had gone to England and gained a certification as a British Horse Society Assistant Instructor (barn management, shoeing, nutrition, riding, etc). And it was through the friends that his mother had made that Obi was able to meet Sophia. The boy fell hard and as soon as he was graduated from High School he followed in his mother's footsteps, flying to Britain to attend the same school that Sophia was attending, gaining several certifications of his own, a bachelor's in animal science, and the girl all at the same time.
Which was good, because Sophia turned up pregnant and the two of them both set to work establishing themselves in a career so they didn't have to rely on her very disapproving family's money. Everything went well, the two very much in love, and overjoyed to welcome their son (Erik) into the world. Their lives weren't wealthy ones, but they were happy. Until, when Erik was four years old, Sophia was taken from her family by a car accident. Obediah mourned for over a year (and somewhat still does) but chose to pull himself back together for his son. The two moved back to the U.S. where Obediah used his contacts, and some of his mom's, to find work in his chosen field. He's drifted around with his son in tow for years, working for a wide variety of business concerns in the agricultural and livestock industry before finally ending up at the Blue Ridge school, where he has been able to enroll his son in the hopes that they can finally settle down and Obediah can maybe do some ladder climbing.
