Rosalyn stands at about 5ft. 2 ½ inches and weighing only about 113 lbs. Her mid back length dark brown hair frames her oval face in very loose waves. Rosa has soft golden brown eyes. Her mother often calls her eyes her best feature. Rosalyn likes to dress comfortably. She prefers jeans and a t-shirt and sometimes a sweatshirt. Rosa doesn’t like wearing a lot of dresses. She does like floral patterns and pastels. One constant part of her every day wear is a horseshoe necklace that her mother gave to her. The necklace has been a family heirloom for about four generations.

Medical History>> When Rosalyn was eleven years old, she was out in her father’s stable helping her mother with the horses. Rosalyn was cleaning out the hooves of one of the horses and all of a sudden got kicked right in the stomach. A few of her ribs broke. It took her a few months to completely heal before Lydia allowed Rosalyn back into the stable. She is also allergic to bees and to mushrooms.

Rosalyn’s beginning into this world is quite interesting. It all started in Tennessee. Her mother, Lydia, had been working for Edward Roades for about four years before any sort of physical attraction came into the picture. By that time, Edward was already married to Meredith, who was also pregnant with the couple’s first child. Edward had drank a few too many tall glasses of wine and had made his way to his private stables. Lydia, who was hired as his personal stable hand, was doing her evening checks on all the horses. They started to talk and nine months later, Rosalyn Prescott was born. Lydia lied to Meredith about who Rosalyn’s father was, saying that it was an old friend that disappeared after she had gotten pregnant. Edward and Lydia kept their secret for many years. Edward, behind his wife’s back, gave Lydia money to help with providing Rosalyn a good life, even with Meredith moving to the single mother and new born daughter into the Roades estate. A few months before Rosalyn was born, Avalon, Edward and Meredith’s daughter was born.
Growing up in the Roades estate, even as the daughter of the stable hand, was still a privileged life. Edward provided his younger daughter her own horse and even a cat. He made sure she got the same education as her older half-sister. Lydia enjoyed seeing her daughter playing with Avalon, but felt the little bit of pain in knowing she was keeping a big secret from her pride and joy.
Rosalyn enjoyed running around the estate with Avalon. The two became very close as they grew up. They each loved to saddle up their horses and go riding on the trails Edward approved of. Rosalyn was a bit more reserved though than Avalon. Avalon was outgoing, very comfortable when it came to parties that Edward and Meredith held, and was very competitive. She seemed to live and breathe competition. Rosalyn had much of her mother in her. She preferred to create a strong bond with her horse, Shadowwyn. Rosalyn loved just going for trail rides. She wasn’t one for being part of the competitions.
As the two girls got to be fifteen years old, Meredith started to take notice to the strong resemblance between Rosalyn and Avalon. She questioned Edward and the truth came out. Meredith confronted Lydia about it and Lydia assured her that nothing has happened since Rosalyn was conceived between her and Edward except for Edward being a good father to Rosalyn. Surprisingly, Meredith was okay with everything. Lydia and Rosalyn were still allowed to live at the Roades estate.
It was around that time that Rosalyn decided to be a teacher’s assistant at the academy her sister and her were attending in Tennessee. She was assigned to Mr. Demetri Avdonin. Demetri was an equestrian instructor. Both teacher and student shared a love of horses and of many other things. Rosalyn was slowly starting to fall in love with Demetri, but she knew it was wrong. He was eight years older than her and he was her teacher. Edward found out about Rosalyn's infatuation with her teacher. Edward decided to send both of his daughters to Blue Ridge Academy, along with the girls' horses.
Rosalyn and Avalon are now the new transfer students at Blue Ridge. Rosa has found her home amongst the Red Ribbon House while her half-sister is in Blue Ribbon House. The girl has often thought about Demetri and wishes she could see him and tell him how she felt but she knows her father would hate her for it. Rosalyn has tried on many occasions to date a boy her own age but has failed many times. She hopes to someday own a stable that takes old race horses and trains them to teach children how to ride horses for fun.

Personality>> Sly is a bit of a sneaky cat. He tends to disappear around the academy for a few hours and appears when least expected to rub up against Rosalyn for attention, sometimes with a dead mouse in his mouth. He enjoys to curl up next to his owner and getting a lot of attention. If someone scratches him right behind the ear, Sly will purr like crazy. For a cat that loves attention, Sly prefers to spend alone time with Rosalyn. He does get a little spoiled by his owner with a small can of fish for dinner, a few balls with bells in them, and a cat jungle gym complete with some strands of thick yarn hanging from it.
History>> Sly was about 3 months old when Edward picked up the purebred Maine Coon from a friend whose female cat had a litter. Sly was Rosalyn’s thirteenth birthday present. Rosalyn and Sly were a perfect match. Rosalyn even took Sly to Blue Ridge with her. She enjoyed having her handsome cat with her. The two are typically inseparable unless Sly is out on one of his walks.
