Silver is still a fairly young horse and can be a little headstrong at times, but for the most part he loves to work and is very happy to please his master. It can take him a little while to get used to strangers, as he has not been socialised with people outside of the family much. For Damon Silver has always been an affectionate horse, active and quick to learn, he socialises well with other horses even if he can be a little unsure of new people. Silver is a loyal sort of horse, not unlike his namesake and can always be trusted to come when he is called and work confidently.

Basic History>>
After his less than desirable experience with a young stallion as a child Damon did experience a terrible fear of horses for a while. But when he was ten years old his parents rescued a neglected yearling, known at the time only as 'white feller' because of his breed and colour. Despite his fear Damon felt pity for the yearling, who was thin and weak, nervous of people and new to just about everything. As the pair began to bond Damon grew in confidence around not only White Feller, whom he had named Silver, but around the other horses on the farm too. Within just months Silver had grown into a magnificent, handsome boy, far more confident and affectionate than the poor creature that had first arrived on the farm. Silver always had a special loyalty towards Damon, given that the boy had become his primary carer very quickly and always seemed to know just what to do. He learned very quickly and Damon schooled with him every day, once he was four years old and able to be ridden the two began to practice their Western riding, in particular Reining which enchanted Damon. Though Silver did do well with just about anything he did seem to particularly enjoy the speed and challenge that reining presented for him, and the closeness he felt with Damon when they practised.
