Breed>>Morab
Breed Registry>>PMHA
Coat Colour>>Palomino

Height>>15.3
Personality>>On the ground Sunstruck is an angel. He is not pushy at all, and certainly loves a few treats and pets. Sure, he can get somewhat clingy, but it's just him and his people-loving self. If he sees Anna coming down the barn, expect to hear a very loud whinny of endearment. In the pasture Sunstruck is definitely quite the pushover, and is more than happy to be a follower in the herd. He has a habit of rolling, so most people can get quite frustrated when they come to bring him in and groom him and he is absolutely filthy. When riding, however, he is a completely different horse. Sunstruck is very flighty, and definitely needs to be lunged before he is ridden to get the energy out of him. His mouth is like butter, and for that reason he uses a D-ring and needs very light aids. Anna has a very calming demeanor, so they bring out the very best in each other.
Caution Around>>Cones; he hates them, and will bolt if he sees them.
Basic History>>Sunstruck was born at the Jones' farm, and came from two Morab parents. He was an accident, so nobody working at the farm expected him. He was handled kindly from a very young age, and therefore developed a genuine liking towards people. As soon as he turned a year old he was gelded to prevent studly habits from developing. Sunstruck was started under saddle when he was two, and was a very quick learner. He quickly became a barn favorite throughout the lesson stable. However, Mickey and Joanna did not want to use him as a lesson horse, so they kept only experienced riders on him. This turned out to be a great decision, considering the fact that his mouth is very soft and he can't stand it when riders pull on his mouth. Sunstruck began showing when he was eight years old, and it was quickly discovered that he particularly loved cross country. He was good at everything else, but cross country was completely his wheelhouse. The more stardom he earned in the show ring the more Anna wanted to ride him. Originally, he was thought to be way too much horse for Anna at only 10 years old, but she proved that she could handle the energetic and flighty gelding well. When it came to Anna going to Blue Ridge, Sunstruck made the cut to come with her, and she looks forward to seeing how he will like being in a new place.
