Full Name>>Karolina Dolly Winchester
Nicknames>>None
Age>> December 19; 16
Staff or Student>> Student
House>> Green Ribbon House
Gender>> Female
Sexuality>> Heterosexual
Face Claim>> Emilia Clarke
Personality>>Karolina likes to keep to herself for the most part; she hates being the center of attention for any reason. She prefers working behind the scenes if she possibly can, and she is extremely conscientious. She gets nervous in large groups or even when people are watching her at all. She has a strong desire to learn, though, and she constantly seeks instruction and critiques so that she can improve. Her sensitivity often gets in the way, though, and complicates her interactions with teachers/mentors/etc. At the end of the day, Karolina is intensely compassionate and empathetic. She feels more at home with animals than with any people, but she still can’t resist helping anyone in need. She loves helping in general, and she gets joy out of doing things for others even if she’s uncomfortable around people to begin with.
Likes>> music(most genres), animals of all kinds, chips, dresses, cooking, the rain, reading, video games
Dislikes>> swimming, condescending people, laziness, being cooped up, fishing, crowds, shopping
Fears>> being judged and/or disliked, failure, abandonment
Hopes>> marriage, a barn and land of her own, confidence
Secrets>> Karma’s past; her negative relationship with her mother
Appearance>> Standing at 5’5”, Karolina isn’t the most physically intimidating, and her scrawny arms and legs don’t help. Her long brunette hair is usually twisted in a braid so it’s out of the way, but when it isn’t, Karolina doesn’t do much to it and often gets the comment that she looks a little rugged. Her skin is eternally pale; no matter how much time she spends in the sun, she hasn’t managed to darken more than a few tones. Her hazel eyes are one of her most striking features; changing colors on a pretty regular basis somewhere between bright green and light brown (or a little bit of both).
Her wardrobe consists mainly of dresses of all colors, lengths, cuts, etc. She likes wearing them over jeans when she’s at the barn, and by themselves most other times. When she’s not in dresses, she’s in tank tops and, of course, jeans. Boots are her signature too – tall, short, cowboy, combat – you name it, she’s got it. When she’s not in boots, she’s barefoot. When no one’s around, she wanders the barn in her bare feet and even takes off her jeans. She loves to feel as free and close to her surroundings as possible, but she only really does so when she’s alone because she’s afraid of being judged.

Full History>> Karolina was born and raised in a small town in East Texas with her mother and two younger siblings. Her father left when she was young, and they didn’t keep in touch. She and her mother butted heads throughout most of her childhood, and in between that, her mother treated her like another adult and her best friend. She often ended up taking care of her siblings when her mom was either at work or, worse, with her friends or love interests. She never did much outside of the house, but she found solace in the family’s two dogs and in taking care of her siblings. She also struggled with anxiety/depression, though not to any great extent while she was young; her mother never offered her help and dismissed her every time she brought it up. As Karolina got older and her emotional problems worsened, she felt pulled to start pursuing her own interests, including horses, and her mother started to get more controlling and more condescending than she had been when Karolina was young. She criticized most of Karolina’s interests, including her love of horses and her decision to pursue riding and to become a veterinarian. She started volunteering at a various places trying to get what little experience she could without her mother’s knowledge which is how she found Karma and how she began to cope on her own. Eventually, Karolina tracked down her father, who told her about Blue Ridge Riding Academy and offered to help send her there.
