Personality>> Elena is very much a reserved person. While she is nice once you begin to talk to her, she definitely will not be the person to initiate the conversation. She can be quite sarcastic and witty, but if you are rude to her she will usually just ignore you and walk away, as she doesn't appreciate confrontations.
Saying Elena is a good rider is an understatement. She’s a fantastic rider. She won’t say so, however. El is very humble, despite being raised quite differently. She is very intelligent, a trait that most people will notice within a few minutes of talking to her.
Once you get to know her though you will discover that she is actually a very caring person, if given the chance. El would much rather know what’s going on in your life than what’s going on in hers. She is very honest, however. If one of her friends were to ask her how they look on a particular day, expect to hear a hefty opinion filled with blunt and almost brutal honesty.
While she is usually calm and laid back, she would highly recommend that you don’t argue with her, as she can get a bit… intense. If El is upset, however, she will channel most of her energy into her writing, which is quite the hobby for her.

Appearance>> Elena has medium length blonde hair. It is always very clean, and she has great personal hygiene. She is 5’8”, and weighs in at about 120 pounds. El has a fairly tan complexion as well. She is most comfortable in casual clothing, and would prefer to not dress up(unless it is for a very special occasion). Casual for her means t-shirts and shorts or jeans, sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc. As far as riding attire, El prefers her tall black boots(Italian leather), most colors of breeches, and usually polos or riding jackets.

Full History>> Elena and Hans were born into a very wealthy and influential family in Geneva, Switzerland. Their parents, Alessandra and Albrecht Hochstrasser, owned a huge sales company, and they both frequently invested in the stocks. From a young age Elena was exposed to the wealthy life, and she didn’t like it at all. She would prefer to live much more humbly and not half as lavishly as she was.
As soon as she turned three her parents forced her into riding. At first Elena didn’t like it, but after a while she became used to it. She soon grew to love show jumping and dressage. Her parents bought her her first horse for her 5th birthday, the same year she started kindergarten. The mare was a push button pony, but El enjoyed her nonetheless.
Her claustrophobia first appeared at a traveling fair. It was sort of a room of mirrors, and Elena was very scared when a few people decided to jump out at her. Since then, she has been very afraid of small, closed spaces, and she will only go near them if she is absolutely sure no one will jump out at her.
While she was at school, other kids knew that she was shy, so they never talked to her. El didn’t make any friends, while her brother was becoming quite the socialite. Because of this, she felt very detached and solitary. These feelings of detachment and solitude allowed her to take up writing. At first, it seemed like a small side hobby, but eventually it was a passion for Elena. Writing was something where she could openly express her feelings, without the judgement of other people.
Whenever she wasn’t writing or riding she was swimming competitively on her school’s swim team. Besides riding, it was El’s sport, and she became very good at it. Soon, she was traveling to many swim meets throughout Switzerland, and she developed quite the positive reputation. These were the sports and hobbies that kept her occupied throughout her childhood.
When El turned 12, her parents began to look into education in America. They believed that having her secondary education in America was beneficial to her success. Not only would this give her ample opportunities for careers, but it would also allow her freedom and the ability to have friends.
Elena was happy with this decision, and she waited two long years before her parents sent her to Blue Ridge.

Personality>> Franz can be best described as a very lazy cat. He’s not very active, and he would much rather prefer to sit and sleep rather than run around and play. He is quite perfect for a more introverted person who wants a low- maintenance cat to just kind of hang around. Franz is house trained, and he doesn’t demand much attention to survive and be happy.
History>> Franz was born on a cat breeding farm in Geneva. He came from pretty nice bloodlines, and he had a soothing temperament that made everybody want to be around him, so he quickly drew attention from nearby people. After being begged by their daughter for over a year, Alessandra and Albrecht heard of the kitten and decided he would be a perfect fit for their daughter’s personality. They had him neutered immediately after getting him, and then gave Franz to Elena for her 13th birthday.
