ROCK TO MY ROLL
Registered Name>>Rock To My Roll
Barn Name>>Rocket
Age>>Eight
Sex>>Gelding
Breed>>American Quarter Horse
Breed Registry>>AQHA
Coat Colour>>Sorrel
Stable Colour>>Indigo
Height>>15.3hh
Personality>>Rocket, despite what his name gives off, is a very laid back boy. He's incredibly level headed, and always has been. He was definitely one of the more forgiving colts, and for that Rae's thankful, especially because of how thick he is and the fact he has some height on him. Rocket is definitely a ranch horse, very calm and ready to work. He's not by any definition "cowboy broke," you could throw anyone on this boy, and he'll tow them around with his sweet self. He approaches mostly everything with a quiet, open mind if he hasn't seen it before, and is really just as kind as they come. Rocket is a lover boy, but most of all a mama's boy. He loves Rae to death and is always excited to go out with or be around her. He's known to be very playful and lip and pull at her as well as other people he's been around with for awhile. He adores being loved on, scratches and rub downs being his best friend. Rocket is truly a big dog, just not as energetic as most, but definitely not lazy.
Caution Around>>
+Spotlights-- Rarely found, but he does NOT like them
+Gets nervous around bulls at times - while gaining experience, he was lent to a pickup man for bulls, and one of the bulls(without horns thank god) got nasty and charged Rocket, and knocked him over. Ever since he gets a bit dancy around them
Basic History>> Rocket was born on the Carter's farm. They always have several mares in foal, and Marie and her father usually split or pick the colts that they want to train or start. Well, Rocket's dam was Marie's favorite mare, and she was present for his foaling, so she decided that he was one of hers. Plus, she fell absolutely head over heels in love with the colt, from the moment his sweet little self was brave enough to venture over to her. For two years, she just loved on him and spent a large majority of her time with her. At two she started educating him, teaching him more ground manners as well as getting him used to the saddle, learning how to flex and be subtle and become aware of his feet. By this age, he had already been desensitized to a lot of things, but this was entirely new to him. Rae didn't put her first ride on him till he was coming on three. He didn't have many objections, already grown accustom to the saddle and different weight on him as she had thrown a sandbag on every once in awhile. When they got used to each other, it was total love. Rae itched to ride him and always saved him for last because he was her favorite and the best to ride. When her dad discussed the selling and keeping of the colts that year, he brought up selling Rocket cause he was probably the best of the crop that year. He discussed selling the four year old, knowing how much she loved Rocket, just to make her sweat. After a little bit of more joking and prodding, he relented, telling Rae that she could keep him as her own, as it was no secret they were a pair. From there on, he became her main horse, in competition, ranch work, and just going out on a trail. It was no question that he was coming with her, despite her other horses at her father's ranch. Rocket will always be her main boy.
