Personality>> Alexa is an incredibly guarded person. She’s cold, and doesn’t give the slightest care to other people's thoughts or opinions. Alexa majorly fears becoming attached to someone, for reasons in her past. Her defense mechanism is biting remarks and a cold, level gaze that can be a bit uncomfortable at times. Despite her exterior, it isn't impossible for Alexa to acquire…. A friend. Someone that she will maybe once in a blue moon quirk a small smile at or express a fond look in her eyes. It's a very tough thing to achieve, but ultimately worth it in the end.
Alexa is without a doubt one of the most stubborn people you will ever meet. She's positively infuriating, and determined to do whatever she so pleased, even if it's life threatening. For herself that is, she would never put her horse or anyone else in danger. She's an extremely protective young won when it comes down to animals and those that need it. Mama bear is the definition of Alexa, a trait she acquired from her own mother as well. Alexa can be an amazing friend, even though she holds back so much. In public she may still refrain from being over friendly, but behind closed doors she’ll laugh and joke with you. She finds it very hard to trust people, not wanting to make the wrong choice and end up with another knife in her back.
Once cracked open, you’ll find that she’s a very lively girl, as she once was at a time. She’s sweet and smiles the same. The only souls who would see her in this states are her friends and animals, whom she loves deeply. Competition wise, Alexa is as stoic as ever. The girl has an unbelievable poker face, and is notorious for looking like she doesn’t have a doubt in the world, nor herself. She’ll soar through competitions without a waver in her step, seemingly not even breaking a sweat. Truthfully, sometimes her hands with shake or she’ll stutter a shaky breath, but no one should see. It’s nerves, not fear. From the back of her horse, Alexa truly fears nothing. She always gave her trainers and parents a fright, charging anything in her path head on, not missing a beat. Whether it be a scary object at the end of the arena, or a five foot oxer, Alexa will push through it. Determination and getting things done has always been her strong suit.

Appearance>> Alexa is an attractive girl, standing at five foot seven. Alexa wears a very nice figure, curvy and supple, but she still has many of the toned muscles that come with horseback riding and playing soccer, as the americans call it. Alexa currently has pitch black hair that falls past her mid back. It’s naturally quite wavy, something she doesn’t tend to pay a ton of mind to because it’s nothing particularly ugly. She’s not tan, but more of a warm beige, it’s typically unmarred, save the occasional scar or two, new or old from a rough day in the saddle. She has pretty, almost almond shaped green eyes, that can look more blue in certain lights and when she wears different color. She’s got a wide smile, with nice, straight white teeth and lips more on the plump side rather than thin.

Medical History>> Broken bones here and there. Has Mitral Stenosis due to Rheumatic fever at a young age, receives treatment but can have particular nasty flare ups of symptoms.

Alexa was born in Salvador, Brazil to a woman of Mexican descent. This is where she spent most of her childhood, under the watchful care of her mother. Alexa grew with up no siblings, the sole child. Her mother never had to work, and they lived comfortably but not a lavish lifestyle. Somewhere along the way, she was bitten by the horse bug, and found herself in lessons provided by her mother(who secretly paid for them through her father.) Alexa excelled wonderfully, very rapidly learning and becoming skilled. She was set back for awhile when she was seven years old. Alexa developed scarlet fever, but was under the watch of a nanny at the time, as her mother had to travel due to a family death. The nanny was ignorant, and ignored Alexa’s pleas for help. It developed into rheumatic fever, and she was immediately taken to a hospital upon her mother’s arrival home. The rheumatic fever caused Alexa to develop mitral stenosis, a heart murmur. She wasn’t one of the lucky ones who didn’t experience any symptoms, instead being limited to strenuous exercise. Her symptoms weren’t incredibly severe, but limiting, and the mother struggled to keep up with treatments and bills.
Around this time, her father, Abel, had a change of heart. He decided he wanted to be apart of his only daughter’s life. Instead of simply sending money to her mother, he wanted to be present for her. Her mother found another man, one visiting from America. The stress of dealing with Alexa and what had happened to her overcame her, and she reached out to Abel, who gladly took the opportunity of taking his daughter. With that, Alexa was shipped to São Paulo, where her extremely wealthy father resided. She was only eight years old but was still hurt and very cross with her mother as well as her father. He was simply a stranger, someone she had knew nothing about, had never known. Alexa struggled, both mentally and physically. She wasn’t a happy child, and refused to grow attached to Abel for fear that he would change his mind and tried to send her back to her mother. With this she became cold, but Abel never skipped a beat, always kind to her. He reached out to her mother, seeking something to make her happy. She told Abel about her love for horses, and in a heartbeat Abel purchased land with a stable, filling it with different horses and hiring a trainer for Alexa. She brightened, finding solace in her equine friends, refusing the help of barn hands as she religiously took care of the gifts of her father. She was nicer to him, but warmed no more than that. Truthfully she loved the man, his cheery personality and kind smile always present. He was truly her biggest fan, encouraging her in every direction she wished to go, never missing a show or lesson despite his busy schedule. It hurt her to have to act like she didn’t care for him, although he secretly knows she does, but her mother had been kind as well, and in the end had deserted her. Her father then gifted her with a magnificent gelding, who proved to be quite a handful, but the fiery horse and calm girl ended up being a wonderful match.
She was also a very active girl in futbol, or soccer, after undergoing a few procedures called a valvuloplasty, which reduced her symptoms for a time. The symptoms began returning, and instead of scheduling another one, he decided perhaps a change of scenery and slower pace of life would be good for her. With a kiss on the head, Abel lovingly sent Alexa, her gelding, and cat to Blue Ridge Academy, promising to visit her and bring her home on the holidays and summer.

Personality>> Adao is typically a very laid back cat. He does live up to the Bengal description, very playful at times and incredibly intelligent. Sometimes he makes Alexa nervous being so smart. Other than this, he enjoys curling up in the sun or a blanket next to Alexa, purring just from her presence. Adao is incredibly sweet and friendly, as well as an adventurous little rascal. Him and his equine friend are two peas in a pod, commonly found playing together, or with Adao lounging comfortably on the geldings back. Overall, he lives a lavish life, and enjoys it.
History>> Adao doesn’t have an outstanding history. He was merely one of the presents Alexa received in hopes of drawing her from her shell. The two were a bit wary of each other at first, but after spending a lot of time together grew fond of each other and have since been attached at the hip.
