Personality>> Xodó can be a bit of a difficult horse to handle at times. He boasts excellent bloodlines, but not always the best attitude. Xodó can definitely be a sweetheart, and gentle when need be, but like all horses has an off day. A day where he’s a bit too mouthy, a day where he can’t rate to save his life, all minor flaws compared to the big picture. He’s definitely known to test people, those who are new to him. Xodó is one of those horses that knows the difference between mom being on his back, and a stranger. After several battles, and a few breakdowns, him and Alexa have come to terms and discovered who’s the boss, who will give when a push is delivered. He’s a horse that requires a dominant hand, not one for the faint of heart. He is an incredibly bold animal, bold in the arena and out of it, and it shows in his movements and attitude. Xodó is very talented, and lives to do his job. The gelding loves to jump and fly and be beautiful. If you left him to an arena full of jumps there’s no doubt the gelding would be flying over them for fun in no time. He truly loves what he does, as does Alexa, which pushes the both of them to become better. While Xodó is fiery and bold, Alexa is calm and calculated in her movement, proving to be an amazing partnership in competition. Outside of the arena, they’re still two peas in a pod, never found very far from the other, whether they’re sitting in the pasture or his stall, that’s where you’ll find them at their calmest.
Caution Around>> Low fences(has been known to jump them and get out)
Basic History>> Xodó was born in the United States, an exceptional combination of two outstanding horses. Sired by Dobel’s Centos, an Olympic gold medalist and European champion who raked in millions of dollars in earnings, known for highly sought after offspring. His dam was Taggi, a fellow Olympic gold medalist mare and Grand Prix placer, sired by Landgraf I himself. He was the offspring of what could be described as a power couple. It was definitely a sad day when the horse had to be gelded, for he showed remarkable talent and good traits. Xodó was four and Alexa was ten when Abel suddenly had his sights set on the gelding. Truthfully, he loved the horse for it’s beauty, and was impressed by the geldings talent and determined to have him. Being a man of status and ridiculous wealth, money wasn’t a problem, and he bought the young horse with ease. Obviously, this was a recipe for disaster. A young, rash horse with a fiery attitude to match his coloring, and a ten year old girl? Her trainer just about had a heart attack when the horse appeared in one of the stalls with a cheesy bow around it’s neck. It was a very rough start, and it was awhile before the two clicked and finally found what worked for them. When they did they were inseparable, and an amazing pair. Alexa and Xodó grew together in skill and maturity. Some days they still had their bad days where Alexa and Xodó were frustrated with each other, and struggled to overcome things. Fortunately, Alexa proved relentless and always made sure to end her lessons and rides on a good note, as good as she could get. Despite these hiccups, it was obvious they were amazing together when everything worked out, and Alexa wouldn’t trade the gelding for the world. The only reason Alexa agreed to leaving Brazil for school was because Xodó could go.
