Registered Name>> Thomas O'Malley the Alley Cat Barn Name>> O'Malley Year of Birth>> 2003 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Holsteiner Breed Registry>> AHHA
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Bay Stable Colour>> Lawn Green Height>> 16.3 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> You thought the spotlight was on you? No way, it's all on O'Malley, or at least, he'd like to think so. Otherwise, he'd do whatever he could do steal it back! He's a very flashy mover when all eyes are on him. He does, however, have the tendency to buck when his rider's attention wanders, so be warned! Caution>> Plastic bags on the ground
~HISTORY
Basic History>> O'Malley was trained in a good home, and then bought for a sophomore attending Blue Ridge. However, the family got into some financial trouble after that year, and the student had to leave the school. O'Malley was left behind, sold to the school to bring in some extra funds for the family.

Registered Name>> Mountain Viewing Barn Name>> Bear Year of Birth>> 1998 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Lusitano Breed Registry>> IALHA
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Dunskin Stable Colour>> Navy Height>> 16.1 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> He’s a “rugged” sort of horse, with an attitude that could be judged as sarcastic. It’s clear he’s a “been there, done that” type of guy. He is very quick to respond to cues and he has the heart to tackle the more difficult jumps when most horses would shy away. His age has slowed him down only the slightest bit, and it's more for his health than any lack of spirit that he isn't allowed on the advanced courses anymore! Caution>> N/A
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Born and raised at a Cross Country stables, Bear was treated well all of his life. He was sold to a friend of Blue Ridge, and when said friend couldn't take care of him anymore, Bear came to be a permanent fixture at Blue Ridge.

Registered Name>> Cascavello Coroner Barn Name>> Casper Year of Birth>> 2000 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Hanoverian Breed Registry>> AHS
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Bay Stable Colour>> Hunter Green Height>> 16.3 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Casper is a very laid-back horse. However, if something displeases him, or bothers him, he is quick to show it with a laid back ear or two. However, he never bites or kicks out, so these are merely indicators of his displeasure. He is a very school-masterly horse, in that a beginner could ride him, but he has enough knowledge of the show world to make it seem as though the person on top of him is the best rider in the world. Caution>> Letting him get over confident
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Casper was bred in Maine, but was brought to Hanover to be judged and accepted into the registry. He was trained for all Eventing types, although his first owners spent most of their time on dressage. He had to be sold when he was five, due to the farm's financial difficulties, and was moved to a mostly cross country stable. They gelded him there, despite his pedigree and value, out of ignorance. One night, a fire burned the stables to the ground. Most of the horses were brought out alive and saved, including Casper. However, in the confusion, he ran away and was brought into a riding school that used him for the more advanced show-jumpers. However, his push-button temperament moved him down the list of favourites, and eventually he was moved on, to Blue Ridge, where he shall hopefully find a new rider who doesn't need temperament.

~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Bay Tobiano Stable Colour>> Khaki Height>> 15.3 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Remi is a perfect mother hen, whether toward other horses or toward her rider, she is a true bombproof horse as nothing seems to faze this girl. If you ask her to do something, she will do it to the best of her ability. She's generally easygoing, unless you're hiding a carrot in your pocket - In which case she'll stop at nothing to get it! She isn't a huge fan of cross country courses, but will do them if asked. Caution>> N/A
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Remi grew up in a horse therapy centre, she had taught more people than anyone can remember, yet she remembers them all should one come to visit one day. She seemed to grow bored with her lifestyle so in her best interests was put up for sale and the Academy scooped her up for her hypo-allergenic qualities. From there she was introduced to more formal discliplines and excelled at them.

Registered Name>> Color Between the Lines Barn Name>> Ella Year of Birth>> 2005 Sex>> Mare Breed>> Hanoverian Breed Registry>> AHS
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Black Tovero Stable Colour>> Goldenrod Height>> 15.2 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> When you look past her "temper", Ella is a really sweet horse who will do anything for her rider - as long as it is asked in the right way. She has a bad habit of cribbing when she's bored - whether in her stall or out in the pasture. Under the saddle, although she still has her bad days, Ella is a dream. As long as her rider has soft hands and is a sympathetic rider, Ella will throw her heart and soul into everything she is doing. Caution>> Making her feel she is being overworked.
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Ella was an accident and born into a stable that knew nothing of starting horses. They had a slap-dash go at it and got her to finally accept the saddle along with a rider on her back. However, once this was done, they worked her to the bone and used any artificial aid they could find to get her to do as they wanted.
Due to her training, when she first arrived at BRRA, even the sight of an arena would send her into a complete state; bucking, rearing, spinning, plunging, anything to get out of arena work. Through the work of a sympathetic and caring handler and rider, Ella has come come a long way and looks forward to lessons and work.

~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Bay Tobiano Stable Colour>> Dodger Blue Height>> 15.3 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Genie thinks on his feet. He's great at being able to make split-second decisions whether running barrels, in a reining or dressage figure or even while jumping. If you need a horse to get you out of a pickle, then Genie is your boy. While he has great respect for his handler and isn't one to muck around with the other horses in the pasture, he is known to vanish out from under the saddle right when you go to put it on his back though he's completely fine when the girth is tightened so it's not him being nasty. He is patient with his rider and will happily stand for hours with a saddle on his back if that's what his rider wants of him especially if said rider has apples to offer. His one issue is that he gets spooked by flickering lights. Caution>> Flickering Lights
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Genie was born on the rugged country-side of Montana to a decently sized herd that was managed by a large buckskin stallion. The colt learned by example from his dam and then the other colts and mares in the herd. His first year was great, and then came the round-up. After being chased down and separated from his herd and then his dam, the feisty colt was chased down a shoot with others from his own herd and another he came to a grinding halt in the middle of a round pen where he went down as other horses crashed into him.
Months went past, and then came the auction. The colt watched as the friends he had made were hauled out into another pen and then they vanished into traps of all sizes. And then it was his turn. It turned out that a young teenager was taken by the colt's defiant attitude and she decided that she wanted him, so the bay went home with her. The colt was gelded as soon as he got back to the family's ranch and the girl then began training the youngster. However, another three years passed before she began riding him. When she did start riding him though, she already pretty much had a bomb-proof horse out of the four year old.
Genie and the girl did everything, you name the discipline and the two of them faced the challenge with guts. Sadly, when the girl's younger sister left for college it was time to sell Genie.
Registered Name>> Last Run Barn Name>> Solo Year of Birth>> 2002 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Appendix Quarter Horse Breed Registry>> AQHA
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Dun Stable Colour>> Forest Green Height>> 16.0 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Solo is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde; he can be happily plodding only one moment and the next he will be bolting away from shadows, he has been checked over by a vet though, so there is nothing wrong with his vision of hearing. He is a very mouthy horse, and when tacked up, will chew on his bit endlessly - again, nothing medically wrong. He enjoys snuggling up with his handler, as he prefers humans over horses any day, and has great ground manners and respect for his handler. He has two vices, one of which is that he is known to kick out if another horse gets too close so it's best if he has a red ribbon in his tail, the other thing is that he hates, with a vengeance, sound systems and loud speakers. Caution>> Unexpected sound systems.
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Not a lot is known of Solo's past, as he was collected from an auction, though is it obvious that he has been trained well and doesn't have any obvious scars from being abused.

~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Grey Stable Colour>> Cornflower Blue Height>> 12.0 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Although young, Kit takes care great of her rider. She's not too happy about being put into a trailer and being taken away from home, although she's not barn sour when heading off on a trail ride. She's not the most competitive of horses, so better off in classes where she's the only horse in the ring; jumping, dressage, trail classes. She is known for being a dirty stopper in the jumping arena if given half a chance. Kit hates the farrier, with a vengeance, and if she knows that there is a farrier coming toward her - or her being led toward them - she will spin in circles, rear up, do anything she can to get away. Sometimes even leading her out to the pasture can be a fight as she jigs, dances sideways, bumps into her handler and is known to step on toes. In the pasture, she's better with ponies smaller than herself (yeah, cause she's so big). If you are looking at something to give her as a treat, she will do anything for corn Caution>> Smoke/fires, farriers, your feet!
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Kit's life was planned out for her when her dam's owner selected the Welsh stallion to breed her Arabian mare to. The mare was known on the dressage circuit and the stallion was a popular three-day eventer, so the woman planned to get an eventer out of her mare.
Everything was textbook, the breeding, the foaling and even the handling at the very start. Then the filly-foal was introduced to the show scene and that's where things started to go wrong. After the first few in-hand shows, the woman decided to call her losses and sold the filly for a good profit.
At her next home, she was trained further, but the man who was now training her was short tempered and impatient if the filly didn't catch on right away. She took to the saddle well and was trained to jump, but she never settled under the man's care and was finally found her way to Blue Ridge as a school horse

~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Bay Tobiano Stable Colour>> Plum Height>> 16.0 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Meg is a tank of a horse. Like most tanks, it takes her a while to get going, especially in the mornings, but once she does, she's a sight to behold. She's really easy-going on the ground, unless you expect her to actually exert herself. She loves being groomed, a good thing with so much hair! She's very patient, happy to stand as long as you want her to, like a perfect mother hen. Caution>> Brush/bushes/grass getting tangled in his feathers
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Meg was bought from a breeder and trained for driving. Her owner worked at a riding school and did occasional teaching using a pair of horses, and was hoping to replace one of them due to advancing age. However, as Meg got older and was started, it came out that her intended partner had issues working next to a mare (he had been gelded late and got distracted easily). In the hopes that that could be corrected, her owner kept working with the pleasant mare, but eventually had to cut her losses. When an opportunity to buy a trained gelding in Kentucky came up, she took it, and while looking at the area, found Blue Ridge. She offered the school the mare as a donation, and here Meg is! She knows the basics of being ridden, but hasn't been trained in any specific discipline.

Registered Name>> Gunpowder Barn Name>> Smokey Year of Birth>> 2006 Sex>> Mare Breed>> Friesian/Percheron Breed Registry>> Friesian Sporthorse Association
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Black Stable Colour>> Turquoise Height>> 16.0 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Smokey is laid-back and gentle with a quiet disposition. Though she can come off as rather aloof, she is mostly just content to mosey through life. In a herd, she's happy being at the bottom of the totem pole and isn't one to pick fights or show aggression towards other horses or people. Few things spook her, and if something does, her reaction looks to be more one of surprise than fear. She's safe around small children and is a good mount for anyone needing a confidence boost. Caution>> N/A
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Smokey was bred to be a solid low-level dressage horse. However, her career didn't last long when a vaulting club picked her for their team. She took to her retraining with stolid determination, and her wide back and floating gait was ideal. She became the primary mount for the club after a couple of years when the club's other horse retired. Over the years, there were several internal disagreements which eventually came to a head causing the club to split. One of the vaulters was a Blue Ridge alumnus and offered to donate Smokey to the school. Following the settlement, Smokey was shipped off to Blue Ridge.
