Personality>> If you want personality, then Gatsby has got it, and he's not afraid to show it. He will let you know when he has had enough, and when he wants to keep going. Sometimes it's best to tell him when to stop out on the field. He loves to jump, and has a sassy side when in the dressage ring, but he hates having his mane pulled. He can be a bit of a clown when not showing. He does not like strawberries, but he loves blue berries and granny smith apples. Even though it's strange to some riders, but as a post eventing ritual Cora will give Gatsby blue Gatorade. He loves the stuff.
Caution Around>> tarps
Basic History>> Gatsby is the last colt from sire Dante's Noble, and out of dame Crossfire Just Chancing It. His sire was a big name in the dressage world, and his Dame was imported from Germany. Gatsby grew up on a farm where there were a lot of big riders, and high expectations. He was sent off for training to be like the other horses at the farm, and his one flaw was that he spooked at things flying around at the corner of his eye. He spooked before entering the Dressage ring, and needed a strong hand to handle him.
He wanted to please his riders, but he was flighty and scored low on dressage tests. He bounced from barn to barn, and ended up being sold at auction. Cora bought him, and she trained him and worked with him to be a good mount. He still has his moments, but he and Cora are a good team.
