Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Epona sighed a she parked her truck outside of the local fast food place, the only reason she was there was due to wanting some cheese fries and not able to make a good batch herself. Climbing out of her truck she pocketed her keys after she locked it and headed inside with the soft clicks of her boots. Not much different from the boots she normally wore at the school but where cleaner than them, as was all her clothes since she had changed from looking like she lived in a barn to a normal human being. Her hair being up in a ponytail with a ball-cap over her head to help block out the sunshine of the warm 70 degree weather that the day had settled on.
As she entered the place, the smell of the food reminded her of a place back home which just caused her to smile for a second before she went to take a seat at the counter. Not even bothering to look around to see if anyone she knew from the school was there or not. She didn't see the point in it as she hadn't really talked to much of anyone unless they where her students or someone her brother introduced her too as he was the more social one. Getting a glass of water to drink and placing her order of cheese fries and an strawberry shake, when the waitress asked her what she wanted. Pulling out her phone to play with while she waited rather than stare off into space.

Bruce cruised his truck to a stop in one of the parking spaces outside the fast food place in Blue Ridge proper and killed the engine. The man thoroughly enjoyed preparing his own food, but that day he decided he had too much to do and it would just be easier to purchase food off campus and the return to his work, without giving himself dishes to wash. The young Maori was dressed in a pair of faded jeans, a red checked short worn open over a black muscle shirt and his worn brown boots - the tidier pair.
Walking into the building, he took a seat at the counter, his mind on his next lesson, and only then realised that he had sat down beside a young woman. He frowned in thought as he had seen her around the Academy, but knew that she couldn't be a student - as he was sure he'd passed her in the halls of the staff Apartments. However, before he could say anything to the female beside him, a waitress appeared to take his order, which he placed: Fries and a Castleburger. Once the waitress walked away he turned his attention to the woman beside him. "Kia ora." He said. "I'm Bruce, I teach the Mounted Games class at the Academy." He knew he was pretty straightforward, but that's just who he was.
Epona didn't pay attention to the person who sat next to her and kept playing the game she had up on her phone, mostly it was a game she had going with her younger sister. Hearing the male speak to her she looked up as if realizing that someone had sat next to her. "Hello. I'm Epona, I teach the Beginner Western class." She said, figuring that if he was from the Academy that he would have probably seen her at some point, plus she knew she was one of the young teachers that could get mistaken for a student. It wasn't like she was in town normally, just long enough to collect any mail her or her brother may have or picking up anything they needed.
Looking back to her phone she closed the game and set her phone down after sending a text to her sister about talking to someone and had to disappear from the game. But before she could say anything her order was brought to her, which saved her from trying to figure out what to say. Her lack of interacting with people showing up more than normal since she was without an animal or her brother to hide behind. Picking up a cheese covered fry to ate it, still trying to figure out if she should say anything else. After she emptied her mouth she asked "How are you today?" Having decided that it was better to start off like that than just not say anything and seem completely unfriendly.
