Breed>> Irish Draught
Breed Registry>> IDHSNA and Irish Horse Registry
Coat Colour>> Black
Stable Colour>> Yellow
Blue likes to take inspiration from everything his does, though he can be a bit like a toddler and has a short attention span, so his rider needs to make sure that they keep him focused and interested in what he's doing.
He is very independent and isn't fussed if he's ridden out with others and is asked to go a different direction.
He doesn't like being crowded in the pasture and will boot any horse who gets too close (also wears a red ribbon on his tail in the arena).
He has superb ground manners, though he does seem to enjoy the taste of leather, and has been known to work his way through a few sets of reins.
He adores the taste, or smell, of peppermint.
Caution Around>> Flickering lights
Basic History>> Blue was bought as an eventing prospect for a girl who'd decided she wanted training a horse from the ground up.
She put a good amount of training onto him but then there was a fire at her home. It was suspected that it was an intentionally set fire, and those runours spread like a wildfire (I know, not punny), so the insurance company wouldn't pay out without a full investigation, so she had to sell Blue to help cover her bills.
He ended up in a show yard, but disoriented by the change from what he'd known, he freaked out on his first day. He'd chewed through the reins, so his rider couldn't stay on. She landed in the hospital and they decided he was too much of a liability to keep around, although he's a sweet horse normally. They cut their losses and shipped him to the sales yard as soon as it could be arranged.
Figuring the lawsuit would cost them more in the long run than the money they lost by selling him cheaper.
