Personality>> Quail is an inquisitive young mare. She's brave, forward going and eager - all great qualities for a barrel horse in training. She loves being put to work and is doing fantastic so far with her training. She's quick on her feet and agile.
Her ground manners do need some work, however. She's easily excitable and needs frequent reminders to settle. They're working on it, but she can be a little brutish if particularly excited. Evelyn is sure she'll get better with more work and as she ages. They're getting there. It won't take long.

Basic History>> Evelyn purposely bred Quail to be her next barrel horse. The youngsters dam is Evelyn's past mount - Go Fetch - and her sire is a highly prized stallion owned by a friend on the circuit: Look and Listen. Quail was destined for greatness and so far she's living up to the hype. She's been with Evelyn since she was weaned. Go Fetch has since been retired to the stud Look and Listen resides. Evelyn still owns her but due to an injury while at pasture she has had to be retired. Quail is going to be a suitable replacement.
