Personality>> Patches is a playful, sweet horse. She’s can tell who’s riding her, so she knows better than to gallop if a child is at her head. But, a good gallop is often what she gets with her owner, and it’s what she needs. With her high-spirited and playful personality, without enough exercise, she can become extremely restless. She gets along with almost any animal, and will probably be that horse that would walk up to a dog, be like, ‘what are you’ for about 5 seconds, then try to be the dogs best friend. And will most likely succeed.

Basic History>> Patches wasn’t originally McKenzie’s horse. She at first belonged to a stable near McKenzie’s uncle’s house. As she went over there ever day, Patches quickly became her favorite. She loved the playful, sweet nature she had, and Patches also loved the girl. The two clicked after a few trail rides. And, sure, the two sometimes went to the jumping arena, but it was really the open field and the trails they spent most of their time in. They loved a good gallop, or a relaxing trot. The man who owned the stable saw this, and decided to give Patches to McKenzie. He didn’t have many plans for her anyway. So, Patches became McKenzie’s. She stayed in the stable, because McKenzie didn’t have the room for her at home, but they still had the loving bond of owner and horse. And once she got enrolled in Blue Ridge, she decided to take her beloved Patches with her.
