Ashley Watson turned and pulled the keys out of her ignition. She looked in the mirror one last time and took a deep breath. This was her very first day at her brand new job. This would be her first real, full time job since she had just graduated from college. Her stomach was filled with major butterflies.
Ashley has suitcases and suitcases of clothes, accessories, and beauty supplies from her old sorority home all over the back of her car. "Well, at least I don't have to worry about running out of anything anytime soon," she thought to herself. She looked over in the passenger seat at her trusty companion, Charlie, her three year old golden retriever. He gave her an approving look and she decided to finally make her way into the office. She stepped out of the car and ran her fingers through her long, wavy hair and smoothed out her pencil skirt and sheer mint green blouse. Since this is the first time she is stepping onto campus as an official instructor, she wanted to make a good first impression.
One last breath and she opened the door and walked in. Much less intimidating than she thought it would be. She wore a gigantic, warm smile and said, "Hello, I'm Ashley Watson, the new Dressage Instructor and Counselor. I am here to check in!"

Jennifer finished the document that she had been working on and sent it to the printer before she saved it and shut down the program, listening for the printer to stop whirring before she grabbed the pages and stapled them. She had been working on some of the academy's newer problems, which included a bit of trouble with one of the pastures. It hadn't been draining well, leaving it as a big pit of mud. While it had been closed off for the moment, someone would have to be called in to take a look at it. Standing from her desk, Jennifer walked towards the main office, hearing Jasper heave himself to his feet and pad after her, his name tags tinkling quietly.
As she looked through the front desk, digging through the pile of papers to find the flyer she knew had to be somewhere for a soil engineer, she heard the door open. She glanced up, casting a smile at the new woman. She recognized the woman from her application. As Ashley stated her name, Jennifer started up the academy program on the main desk computer, "Did your journey go well?" She typed in her password and then entered the woman's name, "You're going to be in Room 123 of the Brown Ribbon House. Your horses Red Hot Chili Pepper and Southern Belle will be in the Red Willow Barn, and Hot Jazz is going to be in White Oak." She pulled out a map of the campus and highlighted all three buildings, along with the main office, "This is where you are."
With that, Jen rose and turned to the keybox behind the desk and pulled out the key for the woman's room. She placed it on the map and slid everything across the desk, "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Ashley was building with excitement. The moment she stepped on campus, she knew this was the perfect job for her. Jennifer was so welcoming and made her feel at home. Ashley picked up her room key and her map and glanced at them briefly. "Thank you very much, this should come in handy," she replied. "I think all my questions are answered. I will visit my office and start organizing my classes right away!" She smiled once more and turned to walk out the door.
Charlie was hanging out the car window the whole time eagerly waiting for Ashley to come back. With a smile still plastered across her face, she studied the map, looking for the Brown Ribbon House. Once she located it, she put her keys into the ignition and drove off to her new home. She drove around and was mesmerized by the beautiful landscape. the campus took up miles and miles of beautiful countryside. Ashley wanted to get out and just walk around and enjoy the sights, but she had things that needed to be done. She needed to start on her lesson plans for her new Dressage students, and move into her new office. It was going to be a lot of work, but she was ready.
