Nicknames>> N/A
Date of Birth>> 03/30/2001
Staff or Student>> Student
House>> Green Ribbon House
Gender>> Female
Sexuality>> Bisexual
Face Claim>> Katrina "Rin" Wilkinson
Personality>> Stella is an interesting sort of girl. She is a little bit stand-offish at first, but once someone gets to know her she opens up and is considered generally bubbly. Some say that she is stand-offish and prefers to keep the company of animals over people. She seems absorbed in her own little world at times. Intelligent and aware of her surroundings, she takes everything in with a careful eye. She is a courteous student and listens well but rarely ever offers input into things.
Despite her cold demeanor, she isn't inherently mean or has any ill-will. It is simply the type of person that she is.
She is very interested in art and creativity, and likes to express herself through her artistic pursuits. Drawing, painting, dancing, cooking, even creating her own clothes at times--she is a true believer of "freedom of expression." While there are no subjects in school that she truly detests, she is least thrilled about mathematics. Ultimately, she wishes to pursue a career as a traveling entrepreneur in the equestrian world.
There is a competitive streak in her, especially when it comes to riding. Not necessarily spurred on by jealousy, but she has a desire for perfection. She is often hard on herself for mistakes and can get anxious easily thinking about upcoming competitions. However, no amount of pressure will ever turn nerves into aggression towards her horse. People? She may snap at, especially if she feels threatened.
Overall, she's a pretty normal sort of girl. Stella is just a little eccentric and likes to keep to herself.
Likes>>
-Animals. Especially horses
-Arts of all kinds.
-Sleeping in, because she is NOT a morning person.
-Sweets of any kind. But cupcakes have a special place in her heart.
-Dyeing her hair. Pink seems to be a favorite.
-Journaling, doodling...basically anything with a pen and paper.
-Vintage anime. Especially stuff with giant robots. If you ask her why, she'll just stare at you.
Dislikes>>
-When people ask dumb questions.
-People who are full of themselves.
-SNOW. (She's a Florida native, what do you expect?)
-Mornings. Unless they're horse show mornings. Horse show mornings are okay.
-Stains on white saddle pads that never seem to come out.
-Needles. Doctors in general. No way.
-People who don't share their gum.
-Mostly people, but not really. She likes to believe she dislikes people but she really doesn't.
Fears>> Her ultimate fear is failure, as well as rejection. Therefore, Stella behaves in ways to avoid such things.
Hopes>> Stella truly wishes to be successful and that is why she pours herself into her work. She also hopes to make some new friends, as she is a transfer student.
Secrets>> The reason why she had to transfer from her other school was because she got into a fight with several of the other students there.
She didn't want anyone to know that she already had an aggressive nature because she really doesn't. She was just pushed to react and the bullies got a reaction.
Appearance>> Stella is 4'10.5" (148cm), and her weight fluctuates between 96lbs(43kg) and 102lbs (46kg). She is slender with lean, wiry muscle build. Words to describe her are petite and dainty. Don't let her small stature fool you--she is strong and very much healthy. Just because she is on the petite end of the spectrum, it doesn't mean much. She is a natural blonde with grey-blue eyes and alabaster skin. She is incredibly pale despite growing up in Florida, indicating that she spent a lot of time indoors in her youth. Stella has a strong bone structure with defined cheekbones a jawline, a button nose, wide-set large eyes and lips that are full yet aren't remarkably so. She is well-groomed and has an air of aristocracy about her, but it is not overwhelming. She is conscious of her appearance and will often use makeup or other aids to help her. At times, she will dye her hair or wear wigs. Her favorite colors besides blonde or platinum are red and pink, and she will make changes to her personal style on a whim. She has straight teeth that are upkept but her canines are naturally pointed, something that she takes pride in. Stella can be considered attractive by some given her svelte form but she doesn't really pay attention to what people think. Stella does not follow typical fashion standards and will wear whatever she feels looks best.
Markings>> She has a small scar on her lower abdomen from an appendix removal and her skin is covered in light freckles. These freckles are so light that most don't even notice them upon first glance.
Medical History>> At age six, she had her appendix removed. Other than a few broken bones here and there from falls on horses and getting scuffed up once or twice, her medical history isn't much to write home about. It is noted that she suffers from chronic migraines, but takes medication to keep them in check. The migraines are often brought on by stress and lack of sleep so she does her best to take care of herself.
Full History>> Stella did not have an impressive childhood even though most thought that she did. She is the daughter of famed equestrian Larissa Rockwell, and her father is a prestigious attorney. Needless to say she spent a lot of time growing up taken care of by nannies or family members because her mother was often globetrotting and her father was often busy with high profile cases. Growing up in Wellington, Florida meant that she was exposed to the equestrian world front and center. The Rockwell home base was located in Grand Prix village, a 16 stall facility that housed their competition horses as well as a few client horses. The young Stella found herself spending time in the barn often, just getting to know the horses. It was something that she enjoyed more than anything.
After her sudden appendix removal at the age of six, this was when her mother decided to start shopping around for a tried and true school pony for young Stella to cheer her up. Until then, she had only been allowed to do lead line level on her mother's retired dressage mount. The pony's name was Toy Soldier and he was a great teacher...even if he did end up dumping her over the other side of a crossrail one too many times. Stella became absorbed in riding, caring little for the fact that she didn't get along with most of the kids in her school and spending more time just focusing on riding. By the age of eight, Stella was pulled out of traditional school and was homeschooled by her mother while traveling.
She wasn't really riding much at the time, just watching her mother compete and learning on the side. Every so often she'd get to ride but her formal training stopped. Tension between her and her mother began and she returned to Wellington to resume normal schooling by the age of ten. Since she had been away, things had grown increasingly difficult for Stella when it came to integrating back into the school population. She became withdrawn and distant. Again, all of her efforts were thrown into riding, as she had begun to ride the horses her mother left behind while traveling the show circuit. She began training under the tutleage of another local trainer, which meant she got to excel without having to wait for her mother for lessons.
Having a trainer that wasn't her mother helped, too. But that strained the relationship between mother and daughter even further.
Stella was doing the children's circuit and participating in local shows, keeping to what she knew and not really straying from her lessons. Rumors began to fly about mother and daughter, since it was a small town after all. Outside of the show season, everyone knows everyone in Wellington. Since Larissa was in Europe, she didn't catch wind of it until it was far too late--and Stella had to take the brunt of the cattiness that was directed at them both. The young and hormonal girl didn't know how to handle it and she lashed out angrily, causing a scene that is still whispered about to this day.
With her training underneath her and a past she wanted to keep locked up, Larissa began to search for boarding schools in order to keep her daughter far away. For middle schoolers, there weren't many options but they found one in Nevada where she couldn't bring her horse but she could ride the school horses provided. The school taught both English and Western riding so she sampled both while she was there. Her experience in Nevada was wonderful, and she graduated without any problems. When she reached 9th grade, Larissa enrolled her at Foxcroft Academy which was a well-known boarding school on the East Coast. Stella was excited, especially after hearing about their competition program. She would be able to go to school and travel to compete.
This was also around the time where Stella learned that her parents had separated, pending divorce. Apparently her father cheated and there was some sort of scandal--this was all learned second hand, as her mother never intended on telling Stella until after the divorce was finalized. A relationship that had been mending was once again strained. This drama bled out into her school life, which made things increasingly more difficult for her. Being in a small all-girls school meant that she had no escape from her bullies, no matter how hard she tried. Believing she had no other options, she weathered the tension and just focused on competing.
After lots of arguing with her mother, a gift arrived in the form of a six year old Dutch gelding by the name of Harlock. Perhaps it was meant to be something to distract her from the divorce, and for the most part it worked. Stella was thrilled to finally have a horse that was 100% hers, and knowing that he still needed a little work done meant that she could finish his training herself. She was excited to have such a beautiful horse to work with, and spent all of her time fussing over him and making sure he looked immaculate. Riding him proved to be a little difficult at times, considering he was incredibly opinionated. This didn't dissuade her, though it made some of the girls laugh whenever he'd run out at the base of a jump or throw a few bucks in during the lesson.
The two of them started slow, competing in hunters and equitation before switching to showjumping. After the initial struggle of getting to know one another, they got along swimmingly. They would practice at school during the week and compete on the weekends, following this same routine. She eventually climbed up in the ribbons too, winning classes. When the two of them were in sync, they did well together. Stella was still prone to worrying but her trusty gelding was focused enough to help her through the worries.
But her woes at school didn't end. As a sixteen year old, she had been around long enough to gain respect but her bullies were in the same year as her. Eventually she snapped, getting into a physical fight that led to injuries on both sides. This got her expelled from Foxcroft and she was promptly sent home. "Home" didn't last long, especially since her mother had another school lined up with her. Due to expulsion, she would have to repeat the semester. Larissa knew that her daughter wasn't usually aggressive and pleaded with the administration to give her daughter a chance. Thus, she was sent to Kentucky with her horse in tow.
