Full Name>> Aaron Joseph Moore
Nicknames>> Joey
Date of Birth>> 6/4/2004
Staff or Student>> Student
House>> Green Ribbon House
Gender>> Male
Sexuality>> Heterosexual
Face Claim>> Quinn Lord
Personality>> Joey is a sweet, giving boy who happens to have a lot of book smarts, but unfortunately isn’t so great with people. Most people like him, anyway, probably because he’s such a pushover and a people-pleaser. He’s been known to go out of his way in an attempt to make everyone like him, which, of course, has led to some bullying. Some people might call him cowardly as well - he won't ride any high-strung horses, it takes him almost the entire lesson to gather the courage to lope around, and he typically won't even stand up for himself. On the flip side, he seems to gain at least a little confidence if he's working with horses. Since he is so giving, he finds it easy to give up free time and sleeping in on weekends to care for animals. If someone asks him to do more for them or a horse, he'll do it without a single complaint. Most of his teachers like him; he pretty much never acts out and he keeps his grades up. Of course, that's not to say he hasn't slipped up from time to time.
Likes>> Running, jigsaw puzzles, large animals, chemistry, biology
Dislikes>> Having his picture taken, the number 6, football, confrontation, gossip
Fears>> Bridges, heights
Hopes>> To overcome his fears concerning horses, to make at least one good friend in high school
Secrets>> He believed in Santa until he was thirteen, there is evidence to show that he caused his mare to colic by neglecting to care for her properly
Appearance>> He has a fair complexion and shaggy brown hair. His eyes are blue, set a bit wide apart in his oval-shaped face. His nose is small and round, features that are still delicate with youth. He has an average build, nothing too scrawny or well-built. He's still not very tall, but both his parents are average height so that's what he expects to be.
For clothes, he likes just t-shirts and jeans for the most part and comfortable shoes. He has an affinity for the color blue, especially lighter shades, mostly because he likes how it looks with his eyes. So, normally, his outfit is built around the color blue, but of course, he has clothes in other colors. His shoulders are often hunched over as if he's trying to take up as little space as he can.
Markings>> None
Medical History>> Chickenpox at age seven, a concussion at age ten, otherwise average childhood ailments.
Full History>> Joey was born on the outskirts of a small town in Missouri, the younger of two children. His father works as a dentist and his mother is an elementary school principal. Both his parents had grown up with horses and cattle, and they owned a small but successful cattle ranch, with a few horses used primarily for pleasure riding. When Joey was six he started riding on the shortest horse they had; she was a bit too big to be considered a pony but noticeably shorter than their other horses. When he was ten, he had joined his parents and older sister on a trail ride through the woods. As they were crossing a bridge over a creek, a flock of birds burst out of the nearby brush and spooked the horses. Since Joey was still inexperienced, he had trouble reining his horse in and they both panicked. Joey was thrown four or five feet into the creek below, resulting in a mild concussion.
For some time, he was afraid to ride again. He had to start back at square one, going around the round pen and building confidence again. It took a year for him to hit the trail again with his family, and even then, they avoided the bridge. It was also around this time that he started being bullied in school. He knew he didn't want to stay in the same school district for high school; his sister was in high school and she told him plenty of horror stories. Joey and his parents started looking at their options. Blue Ridge was a bit far away, but it seemed like it would be a good fit for Joey; he might gain some confidence, even if he's away from his family. Maybe especially if he's away from his family. He wanted to bring his mare along to the school, but she was getting old and was stricken with colic six months before he was supposed to move to Blue Ridge. They decided it would be better to leave her at home.
