Full History>> Lily’s mother died when she was born, and she was raised by only her father. He had no living relatives, and she cut himself and her off from Lily’s mother’s parents, who had wanted to have a relationship with her.
Growing up, she was best friends with her father and shared a love of comic strips and cartoons. They lived in a one-room apartment, over her father’s woodworking shop. They were a little poor, but she did not notice. She was happy with her life.
When she was eight-years-old, she and her father were crossing the street and got hit by a car. He jumped in front of her, attempting to block her, which might be why he died and she did not. This left her in a coma and paralyzed from the waist down. Her deceased mother’s parents were contacted and soon started visiting her and would talk to her.
She eventually came out of her coma, but was a bit depressed, and not just because of her physical status. She was very sullen with her grandparents, at first. After she was eventually released from the hospital, they took her to live on their ranch. They thought that she should try riding, which she was unsure about. They put her in the saddle, in front of her grandfather, who held her on. The horse started walking, and she felt almost like she could walk again, and has been hooked on horses and riding ever since. She eventually began to accept her grandparents as her family.
For her tenth birthday, they got her a horse of her own, who was specially trained. She named him Charlie, and he soon became her new best friend. By the time she was eleven, they were competing in junior rodeos together.
As her grandparents got older, working the ranch took more and more of a toll on them. When she was thirteen, they sold it. They moved to an apartment. They moved Charlie to a boarding stable and sold all of the other animals. Lily was not happy with this arrangement and started to resent them for it. They decided that she needed her own place, and suggested applying to Blue Ridge to her.
