Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Elijah thought he'd gotten used to the foods on offer at school, since he'd been here for two months now - but, as it turned out, there were still ways to surprise him. Today, one of the options for drinks at breakfast had been hot chocolate, and not just from a powder stirred into soy milk!
He'd gotten as large a mug as possible of that, and took it and his cereal to an empty table, setting down the tray before sitting himself down. He grabbed the mugs and inhaled, enjoying the smell. A tentative sip elicited a sigh of contentment, and he took another, although not too big - it was, after all, hot chocolate.

Brie had been rather comfortable in the place she was in. She was getting more used to the academy and started taking a liking to it. Not just because horses were there! After Brie had finished unpacking her things, she decided that she could grab a quick bite from the cafeteria. As she headed into it, she noticed a boy drinking some hot chocolate. Brie ordered a sandwich and a coffee before heading over to the table Elijah was sitting in.
”Hello!” Brie said happily. ”The name’s Brie. What’s yours?” She wanted to get to know some of the people here. It would be nice, really.

Eli looked up as a girl set down her tray at the table he was sitting at, and smiled at her, running a hand across his mouth self-consciously in case the hot chocolate had decided to stick around, "Good morning." Someone was very bright and awake this morning, although Eli couldn't complain about a lack of sleep at the moment. "I'm Eli. It's nice to meet you, Brie."

Brie was feeling a little more confident now that she was talking to someone. This seemed like it would go well...hopefully. Well, Brie was brave when it came to discussion. How bad could this be? Couldn't be bad.
At least Eli seemed friendly, so Brie had nothing to worry about. "Nice to meet you too, Eli!" The young brunette girl replied, and she took a sip of her coffee. "Coffee always helps me in the morning." She commented. "That, and sometimes watching television until I wake up. I used to do that all the time." It was true. Brie had two ways of waking up. Drinking coffee, and / or watching TV until she felt bright-eyed and bushytailed. She noticed Eli had hot chocolate. Brie liked hot chocolate. Good for the winter.

Elijah chuckled as the girl just kept on talking and talking, "It seems to have been effective." For him, he was just glad he didn't have classes that day. He wasn't the morning type, and he was just enjoying lingering over his hot chocolate, "Do you have any plans for your weekend? You seem ready for anything."

Brie nodded as Eli said that her strategy seemed to be effective. "Indeed." She replied, smiling. When Eli then asked if Brie had any plans for her weekend, the brunette girl pondered. Hmmm...she hadn't thought of anything yet, then she got an idea! "I think I may take Orion, my horse, for a nice little ride. Weekend rides seem relaxing." Brie said, sipping some more coffee.
"What about you?" Brie then asked. "You got any ideas for the weekend?"

Eli chuckled, "Yes, trail rides seem to be a popular choice. I need to give my Nav's tack a good clean, though, so I'll probably just let him have a day off today, or do something easy." He grinned, having landed on a subject he could talk about for ages. "What breed is Orion? Nav is a Morgan."

Brie nodded at Eli's input. Yea, perhaps that would be a good idea, too. Tack cleaning was important, in Brie's opinion. Getting that done before going for a ride outside with nature was a better choice instead of going out with no clean tack. "That's a good idea." She said. When Eli then asked what breed Brie's horse was, she went in on explaining. "Orion's a Tennessee Walker." Brie replied. "I like those horses. Orion's also quite the proud horse, and a show-off!" At those words, Brie giggled.
