New Life, New School

[Brie Hilton]

Brie had been simply nervous as she started stepping out of her mother's car. She had been waiting for this moment, too. She had been happy at the thought of being around horses for basically permanently, but she had to have her doubts too. Were the people here friendly? How were they basically? Hopefully Brie would have an enjoyable time here. She had brought her cat Bellatrix, and was holding her. Bellatrix looked around curiously, it seemed she was interested in the place.

Brie looked behind her and faced her mother, waving good-bye. She then started heading into the academy, to the main office. Once she was in the main office, she approached the desk and cleared her throat nervously. "Hello." She said. "Brie Hilton, checking in."

Fitz looked up from his computer and gave a warm smile to the girl as she introduced herself. "Welcome to Blue Ridge Academy, Brie." He said warmly as he typed the name into the computer and read through the page. "You will be residing in room oh nine, of the Red Ribbon House, which is here." He pulled a map from the tray on his desk and circled the placement of the female building that made Red Ribbon. "Your horse will have a stall prepared for him in Red Willow Barn." He circled the barn in another colour. "Anyone in the barn will help you out with directions, if you have any problems, the manager is Ms Robinson."

He located the room key from the drawer under he desk and placed it on the map. "There is a list of helpful numbers on the back of the map." His smile deepened. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Brie felt happy that at least she was greeted by a rather kind-looking man. He did his job well, in kind Brie's opinion. Making a good impression and making new students feel welcome. She nodded as Fiachra took out a map and circled the locations. Seemed easy (hopefully) to navigate. At the mention of Brie's horse, she could feel the excitement bubbling up within her. She couldn't wait to meet her horse! Brie then noticed the room key and she knew that it would be almost time for her to embark on her journey around her new school.

When Fiachra asked if there was anything else Brie may need help with, she felt that she had everything she needed to know. She could find out who the other people in the Red Ribbon House were when she got there. To make room for getting her other items, she got her pet carrier for Bellatrix that she had next to her and put Bellatrix in it, taking the map and key in her other hand.

"Thank you for your help!" Brie said kindly, gratitude clear in her voice. "I believe that's all I need to know for now. I'll make sure to view those numbers on the map. I'll head over to my room and unpack my things."
