Maeve felt restless as she sat on her bed. The shortest day had been and gone, now was the time for new beginnings, and new things were already happening to her! Her gift this year had been in the form of Narcissus, the Grade Horse she had been working with since the beginning of summer.
Unable to ignore the restlessness, she grabbed her tarot cards and left the room. She wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do or where to go, so she just walked and found herself outside the Rec Centre. She'd like the ambiance of the lounge the last time she had been in here, and guessed it would be even more beautiful in the winter, so she walked in.
Setting herself on the floor of the lounge, near to the large open fire, but not so close that she was in any chance of overheating any time too quickly, she opened the bag and tipped the cards into her hand. Shuffling the cards, she split the deck into three and placed the two outside stacks back into the bag before picking up the card left and then turn the top six cards over, one at a time, placing them on the ground in a shell pattern. The first card stood for what she needed to release, the second increase, decrease, induce, celebrate and finally what she needed to be calling into her life for the year ahead.
She frowned as she looked down at the cards. It was said that once they were all there, it was supposed to tell a story, but whatever these cards were saying, it was a mystery to her. Pulling her phone out, she took a photo of the spread, she'd look it up later, and she hadn't brought her tarot journal with her anyway. "Yes, I should have just done a three card spread." She muttered as she carefully picked the cards up and placed them back with the others.
