Full History>> Ellie lived a very privileged childhood. The youngest of two and the only girl, she immediately followed in the footsteps of her mother who placed Ellie on her first pony as soon as she could walk. Her parents were decent people who made a steady income that allowed Ellie to pursue most of her dreams, while keeping her hopes realistic and instilling in their daughter a "down-to-earth" attitude. However nurturing her home was, Ellie was not immune to elementary bullies in public school which sent her into a reserved state of mind and quieted her spirit for several years. On the day of her thirteenth birthday, Ellie inherited her mother's aged and trustworthy prize-winning show horse, who brought Ellie to who she is now: confident and eager to prove herself to the best of her ability. As her horsemanship skills developed, her parents fueled her passion by allowing her to take on horses with "problems," or "black balls," as Ellie called them. Ellie's latest aspiration is to attempt to show her recent birthday present, the horse she brought with her to Blue Ridge, in the grand prix show jumpers. Never having owned, or even worked with a horse of this caliber, it has taken Ellie over a year to connect with her gelding, but she hopes their mutual love of soaring over fences will send them to the top.
