Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Even though the cold weather had set in the town of Blue Ridge was still busy. Deciding to head over to the book store to see if she could find something to keep herself busy after grading was done, Belle began to walk down the entrance driveway and out to town. The walk wasn’t the long and she didn’t want to have to deal with parking when she got there. She had bundled up enough that the cold wouldn’t bother her too much.
Turning the corner to the Blue Ridge Livery she immediately spotted the sign that hung outside that read Portable Magic. Though she hadn’t been there too many times she knew where it was and what was inside the doors. Belle strode towards the door with purpose. She was again going through her faze where she wished for something more from life, such as a boyfriend maybe settling down and having a few of her own children. With the horses and teaching, free time was rare and usually filled with reading.
Walking to the romantic novels section the woman began looking around the shelves taking her time on each book spine. It was horrible that she was almost feeding her desires but it was the only action she could take without actually taking action. With a sorrowful sigh she continued racking the bookcase to see if anything caught her eye.

Richard smiled to himself as stepped out of his car and walked into the Livery. He had been planning on going down to have a coffee, but the pull of the bookstore was too strong for him to resist. He loved bookstores, and the fact that this one offered both new and preloved books just make this place that little bit better than your average bookshop, and the no food and drinks rule made it just that little bit nicer. Yes, there were a number of stores around the different cities that interchanged as a coffee shop, but he liked the fact that the books were protected from that here.
He walked along the rows of books, really just waiting for one to jump out at him. He enjoyed a wide range of books, from many genres so there wasn't any single area that he sought out.
He found himself in the section of the romance book and decided that he was indeed now in the wrong place, as these books were written for a female audience, and he was about to turn around when a young woman caught his attention. "Miss Archer." He said warmly, it wasn't hard to recognise her, as not only did she work in the same department as himself, but she had also been one of his students not too long ago. "Are you looking for a particular title, or just browsing?" He knew that Fifty Shades of Gray was quite a popular book as of late.

Unsuccessful with her scan over the books nothing popped out at her. She would have to go back and search more thoroughly, just as she pulled out a book and began to read the back of it her name was spoken. Even though she should not have been she was a bit frightened but relief flooded over her when she saw who it was.
”Mr. Stone.” Being coworkers most would address each by first name, but she did not as he was her former teacher. The good old days when all she had to worry about was Penny and attending classes during the day. Now she had to still tend to Penny but she had a whole class looking to her for guidance as a teacher and as a person, only sometimes though.
She did not expect him to be wandering about the book store, especially in the romance section, but she did not know the man all that well, maybe he had a sensitive side she knew nothing about. Turning her attention back to Richard’s question she answered with, ”just browsing.” Belle’s eyes again scanned the shelves, ”Any suggestions?” Maybe if her silly thoughts were true then she could call this a successful trip into town.

Richard laughed when she addressed him so formally. "Richard, or even Rich is fine." He told her. "I'm not your English teacher any more." And not that he would tell her, but it made him feel old when she still addressed him as though he were her teacher.
He gave her a grin when asked for books suggestions. "I've heard that Fifty Shades of Grey is a decent read." He replied with a straight face. "Though that also depends on what kind of book you are looking for." Being an English teacher, he was on the mail-list for most bookstores and he received emails with all of the top selling books - no matter the genre - so he could suggest a few, and he also read a wide variety of books himself so he wasn't embarrassed to be in this section of the bookstore, as long as people didn't expect to see him reading any Mills and Boons books. He'd read a couple and didn't think they were worth the paper they were printed on.
"How is your class going?" Even though they worked in the same department, he didn't speak to the younger woman as often as one would think he would, and he was always curious to know how the other English class was going as his classes were the ones that her class fed through to the next year if they wanted a change.
