Peter Pan
The Basics
Registered Name: Peter Pan
Barn Name: Pan
Age: 4
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Irish Draught
Breed Registry:
The Appearance
Coat Color: Chestnut
Stable Color: Black with grey trim
Height: 17 hh
The Personality
Personality: Pan is ying and yang mixture of angel and brat. He's mouthy, naughty in the stable, and has probably broken more automatic waterers than can be believed (hence he needs a bucket). He demands attention, often loudly, and is a general pain in the backside. The angel side comes in when being worked. Colin does in hand exercises with him as way to make him focus and center his energy. It works, more often than not. The gelding shows great work ethic, able to focus himself on the task at hand. However, his stable manners are still to be worked on. His biggest fear is thunder storms, and often needs to be sedated if he freaks out.
Caution Around: Thunder storms
The History
Basic History: Colin had been working at a stud farm while studying Equine Sciences, and so, had been assisting during foaling season. Pan's birth had been particularly difficult, leaving the newly born foal with tendon problems. While the foal was perfectly conformed, or nearly, he would never be able to jump or anything more strenuous than advanced dressage. According to the vet, Pan would also have to be allowed more time to develop, no lunging, and focus more on the warm up than the exercise. The spunky colt wrapped everyone around his hooves, and was spoiled rotten, leaving him with more than one behaviour problem. Colin bought the colt as a two year old, and promptly gelded him, and then spent the next two years trying to sort out the behaviour problems. Pan has vastly improved since then, and his brattiness only shows up now and then.

Topsy Turvy
The Basics
Registered Name: Topsy Turvy
Barn Name: Tommy
Age: 13
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Irish Sport Horse
Breed Registry:
The Appearance
Coat Color: Bay
Stable Color: Black with grey trim
Height: 17.2 hands
The Personality
Personality: Tommy is a generally calm and focused horse, who enjoys variation in his work. He's not the type that craves attention, and doesn't like too much fussing over him. He seems to be the type of horse that internalises stress, and is prone to ulcers. He also can't go with long periods of not being worked, as he seems to drop weight overnight. He loves his jumping though, and is pretty excitable around the track, throwing in a few bucks to show his pleasure. He has the reputation of being a horse that bucks over through the finish markers. His speed, and athleticism, makes him an ideal show-jumper, managing quick times without fail. He can spook if someone makes quick, sudden movements.
Caution Around: Sudden movements
The History
Basic History: Tommy was born on a stud farm on the outskirts of Dublin. He took after the Thoroughbred lines in his family, finely built and not as heavy as his Irish Draught dam. He was weaned late, at 10 months, and then sent to grow up in a bachelor herd. He was left to grow and develop, and at three was gelded when he was sold to the livery yard where Colin rode. Colin helped back the chestnut gelding, and was sold on that this was the horse for him. Quirks and all. He managed to convince his mother and step-father to buy the gelding for him, and the pair have gone from strength to strength. Tommy's quirk of being unable to go without some sort of exercise was discovered with Colin's accident, few months after Tommy being backed. After a month of not being worked regularly, Colin found an exercise rider for Tommy, and while the gelding had improved, he only really flourished under Colin's riding. The two have been inseperable.
