Personality>> Natalie could have been a natural born leader. She cares about the world around her and understands the importance of listening. It's rare for her to give up even if it means fighting tooth and claw to the point of exhaustion to get there. As the older daughter, she tries to be mature and sophisticated. Only by herself does Natalie indulge a more playful and childish nature.
However, she feels largely sidelined by her parents an absolutely craves attention. Natalie likes being recognized for everything she does and loves being in the spotlight. Whether before her peers or strangers, center stage is her favorite place to be. Unfortunately, her search for attention causes her to behave in a way she thinks will make other people like her. Natalie can come off as shallow and will actively deny aspects of herself to appear more likable. On the flip side, she'll lie about her interests and pretend to be more knowledgeable on some subjects even if she really doesn't care. Anything for a bit of approval
She also is an avid animal lover. Cute and fluffy is great, but she has a soft spot for the animals typically considered gross. She's the sort of person who would try to adopt every stray and rescue every stranded earthworm. Even just watching her frogs offers enjoyment, and the fact that they aren't too sociable isn't a concern. Except for spiders, bugs really don't bother her, and Natalie has the opinion that hissing cockroaches are endearing and cute.

Appearance>> She is fit and healthy from playing sports most of her life. She doesn't tan much and is prone to burning in the summer. Her dark brown hair naturally straight, but she puts a lot of effort into making it more wavy. Except for sports, Natalie would rather wear her hair long. She's tall for her age and might still be growing. Natalie always tries to look fashionable and keeps up with the latest styles in hopes of getting other girls to like her. She wears her baptismal cross necklace only when she's going to church or if she's certain no one will see it. Natalie looks like a Slav and has the fashion sense of a European.

Full History>> Natalie was born in South St. Paul to immigrant parents from Serbia. She was baptized as Irena in the Serbian Orthodox Church and grew up fluent in both Serbian and English. Her sister, Danica, is two years her junior. She grew up embracing both Serbian and American traditions and relishing in the fact that she got to celebrate Christmas twice. When she was five, she went through the usual phase of wanting a pony. Thinking it was just a phase, her parents signed her up for riding lessons as a western barn only a half hour away from where they lived. In the summer before starting first grade, Natalie's parents also enrolled her in tennis lessons hoping that horses would just be a phase.
Her childhood was largely normal. Natalie pursued sports while her sister excelled in the arts. They developed a fierce sibling rivalry often debating which pursuit was better. As her riding skills improved, Natalie's trainer focused her on barrel racing and steadily gave her more challenging horses to ride. When she was ten, both Natalie and Danica got pet frogs, but Danica lost interest after a month. Natalie took on the responsibility of caring for the animals and moved their habitat into her room. By the summer before sixth grade, she had mostly outgrown the school horses in skill, and Natalie's trainer suggested that her parents might want to consider getting their daughter a horse. They let her choose between riding and tennis, and Natalie decided to focus on horseback riding. There was quite a lot of shopping around for a suitable mount, and for her birthday, Natalie received a Quarter horse. Over the summer break, she spent every waking moment with her horse and was able to win races much more consistently and at a higher level. Her parents insisted that they would only keep paying the lease so long as she could keep her grades up. However, in the fall of seventh grade, she came down with mono and was out of school for four weeks and attended half days for the next two weeks. She fell behind in her classes, and her grades slipped. True to their word, her parents stopped leasing the horse. They hired a tutor to help Natalie catch up, and her grades had recovered by the start of Lent. While Lent was supposed to be a time of fasting and sacrifice, Natalie's parents resumed leasing the horse for their daughter.
For high school, Natalie wanted to continue focusing on her riding, but her parents wanted her to receive a rigorous education to get into a good college. After months of searching, her parents finally agreed to let her go to Blue Ridge. Even though they missed the application deadline for the fall term, Natalie was able to secure a spot to start in the winter.

Personality>> Rana is perfectly content to sit all day and do nothing but eat. She's the fatter of the two frogs and is less active. She's also very shy and hates being held. Earthworms are her favorite food. Most days she just sits in the shallow water of her tank.
History>> Rana was purchased from a pet store as an adult green frog. She was originally gifted to Danica who wasn't particularly interested in actually looking after her new pet. Instead, Natalie took on responsibility for caring for the frog along with her own. Rana had one escape episode when Danica tried to pick her up and dropped her when the frog peed on her hand.

Personality>> She had the more laid-back attitude of the two frogs. She's perfectly content to be handled and will sit on Natalie's hand quietly for several minutes. Though no terribly active, Anura seems to enjoy swimming around the tank or crawling onto logs.
History>> Anura was bought along with Rana and was gifted to Natalie. For a few days, Natalie and Danica enjoyed taking her out of the tank and watching her hop around the kitchen floor. Now, she lives almost exclusively in her tank and is rarely handled. She's made several escapes to the floor and once jumped out of the tank when the lid wasn't properly closed.
