Full History>> Elena and Hans were born into a very wealthy and influential family in Geneva, Switzerland. Their parents, Alessandra and Albrecht Hochstrasser, owned a huge sales company, and they both frequently invested in the stocks. From a young age Hans was exposed to the wealthy life, and he quite liked it. He loved being able to buy anything he wanted in the stores, and this love of money has stuck with him throughout his life.
As soon as they turned three their parents forced both of them into riding. At first Hans didn’t like it, but after a while he became used to it. He soon grew to love the hunters division and dressage. His parents bought him his first horse when he turned 7(two years after Elena got hers), and he enjoyed the gelding gratefully.
While he was at school, he developed quite the reputation for being the class socialite. Hans made a lot of friends very easily, so he never got to spend much time with his twin.
Whenever he wasn’t hanging out with friends or riding he was swimming competitively on his school’s swim team. Besides riding, it was Hans’ sport, and he became very good at it. Soon, he was traveling to many swim meets throughout Switzerland, and he developed quite the positive reputation. These were the sports and hobbies that kept him occupied throughout his childhood.
When El and Hans turned 12, their parents began to look into education in America. They believed that having their secondary education in America was beneficial to their success. Not only would this give them ample opportunities for careers, but it would also allow them freedom and the ability to have friends.
Hans was unhappy at this decision, because he wanted to stay at home back in Switzerland with his friends; however, he soon began to realize that this was for the better, and off he went to receive his education in the United States.
