Rose had spent the vast majority of the day working both Eleanor and Vintage. She was going home in less than 48 hours, and had decided that the best way to spend the couple of days she had was to ride, so she'd done some jumping with Eleanor and flat work with Vintage. By the time she had finished, it had been mid afternoon, and she'd then decided to spend the rest of her day making herself useful, and cleaning her tack locker and its inhabitants. She'd already cleaned out her locker in Red Willow with Eleanor's equipment, and now she'd moved to the tack room in the White Oak Barn, which had Vintage's things in it. It was now nearly 5 pm, and though she was growing weary, she didn't mean to stop until she accomplished her goal.
Rose kept her lockers clean enough throughout the year, and especially the tack inside, but it had been a while since she'd done a really deep cleaning. She started by clearing it out and sorting through the piles of polo wraps, boots, brushes, and other small items. She took a trip to the washing machine to put in a load of anything that needed to get washed, with was mainly dusty wraps that she'd used in the indoor that hadn't been dirty enough to wash right away, and a couple of mildly dirty saddle pads. Returning to the locker, she then cleared out any excess wrappers she had, and organized all of her leather products and horse shampoos.
A couple of her polo wraps had come unwrapped and were stuck together with velcro, so she spent a few minutes taking the knots out and wrapping them up neatly once again. Next came the brushes, with she cleaned the hair out of and cleared the dust off of with some baby wipes.
