Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Peter picked up his laptop and the folder sitting on top of it, tucking the pile under his arm as he looked around for anything else that he needed, then walked out of the office, pulling his door shut. He had planned an extra half an hour for setting up the class, seeing as it was slightly more technical today. Putting his stuff down on the cart he had borrowed from the proper academy building, which already held a projector, he went through the papers, putting a small stapled pile to the side, and leaving the slide notes on top, before he turned to set up his laptop.
It didn't take too long, the projector complying for once, and Peter was done before the time he had allotted himself before the class started. He took a juice out of the fridge, then pulled his favourite armchair over to the projector, sitting down and taking a drink as he watched the door.
As his students entered, he handed each of them a packet of the handouts, smiling, "I hope you brought a pencil, but if not, there's some on the counter." ((Luka gets the extra stapled packet, which has typed notes.)) He gave the class some time to settle down, while also waiting for any straggles, then stood up and walked towards the wall, which for the day, had been cleared of posters, to leave a blank area.

A Spell on my Heart | 'Corazón' | Hunt Seat + Polo
Noro Lim | 'Arwen' | Hunt Seat + Hunter Jumper + Trail
Olivia left Blue out in the pasture, having just finished a lesson with the mare. With a wave to the black pony, she walked back to the barn, to drop off her helmet and grab her backpack. Once done, she set off to the south of the campus, heading towards yet another barn, this one smaller.
She stopped outside of the Evening Primrose barn to see her assigned mare, Papillon, out on the pasture, picking out the petite pony mare easily. She really did prefer ponies, if it came to that. They might be stubborn, but there was something about them that Olivia liked. She thought of the horse that she was assigned, and quickly made an exception in her mind, apologizing to the palomino that had taught her the basics of Western riding.
Reassured to see that nothing strange had happened to Papillon since she had last seen the mare, Olivia made her way into the barn, walking into the classroom and nodding to the teacher. She took the notes, then chose an armchair at random, sitting down and paging through the packet of notes before she pulled out her own pencil and wrote her name at the top, in her untidy scrawl.

Othello was in two minds of what to do with Harry after their cross country lesson, and in the end released the gelding into the pastures with his rug on. It wasn't too cool, but the Suffolk Punch had had a bath so the boy wanted to make sure that if the weather did change, there was no chance of his horse catching a chill.
He then jogged back into White Oak to collect his backpack and made the trek over to Evening Primrose. Okay, so the walk wasn't that far, but it took long enough for Leo to go over the lesson he'd just had and work out what they needed to work on before the next class.
After a quick check on Memo, he strolled into the barn and down to the classroom. With a slight bow of his head toward the teacher, he took the proffered notes and found a seat he liked, not too close to the girl already sitting there, but close enough that he gave her a friendly smile as he sat down, unzipped his bag, pulled out the folder for this class as well as a writing pencil, and started to look through the papers that he had been given, deciding that he could write his name on them later.
Aedus stowed away the grooming kit he had retrieved for a quick brush of his assigned mare, Sunny. He knew he had to get to class, but he wanted to give her a quick run down after their lesson, and figured as long as he made it quick he would undoubtedly have enough time to make it to his next class, Equine Reproduction. As he left he checked his phone and found he should have enough time to walk to class, which he was rather happy about.
Grabbing his black bookbag from where it lay where he carelessly tossed it he pulled a strap over his shoulder, and made his way to where the class would be held. Luckily, this time, Sir Solomon would be able to see him whenever he was not energized from an absurd amount of caffeine, which was the result of several Monsters.
He was dressed rather typically in a pair of loose fit skinny jeans, and a slim black t-shirt with "Avenged Sevenfold" written across it in a large font. There was, as always, a smile on his face, and his eyes reflected his joy as he entered the classroom. He took the handouts Sir Solomon had given out and said a small "Hello, Sir Solomon" in a tone that was polite yet almost abnormally joyful, and then took a seat near where Othello and Olivia had sat down.
Anneliese grabbed her black messenger back from the floor. She walked towards where the Equine Reproduction class was. Anneliese looked at the watch on her wrist. She had a few minutes before the class. Anneliese walked inside classroom. Anneliese glanced at what she had put on hoping there wasn't hay on her shirt or in her hair.
Anneliese took the packet that Sir Soloman was handing out to the students. "Thank you." Anneliese said to Mr. Solomon. Anneliese took an empty seat that had no one sitting by it. She listened to what Mr. Solomon said. Anneliese opened her purple pencil case and pulled out a blue mechanical pencil. Anneliese put some lead in it and closed the pencil case.
Anneliese wrote her name neatly at the top of the handout Mr. Solomon had given her. Anneliese set the pencil down and began to read the first page of the packet. She read through the entire packet and glanced around. Anneliese didn't see any students that she knew personally.
She was pretty sure she had a few students in here that where in her other classes. No one stood out though so Anneliese didn't recognize anyone. The German girl looked up at the door again looking to see if any more of her peers had arrived. She didn't see any more students though. Anneliese glanced around again at her peers. She wondered if everyone in the class room already was the entire class.
Luka sprinted with Bruno down to the broodmare barn from the dorms, laughing as the dog slid to a halt just before the barn door. One of older grooms gave the pair a disapproving look, but Luka ignored the man, walking calmly to the classroom, passing his mare and sneaking her a carrot. Once he was inside, he smiled at his teacher, and took the stapled notes from him, taking his usual seat that was placed so that he could see what Sir Peter was saying majority of the time, and then referring to the notes when he couldn't.
Pulling out a bowl from his backpack, he filled it with some water for the Spaniel, and placed it by the dog, out of the walkway. Once he finished, he took out his folder with the previous class notes, as well as his own study notes that he had made during the course of the semester. Equine Reproduction was one of his favourite classes, not just because it was interesting, but because Sir Peter didn't act differently around him, and Luka trusted his teacher.
He loved the hands on experience he was gaining through working in the broodmare barn, and Luka realised that he was probably luckier than most being able to attend the Academy.
Jenna dragged her feet from the previous class towards her equine reproduction class. Hayley was such a dream to ride but the horse was getting a bit wide which left her rider extremely sore afterwards. She had to stop walking and stretch out her back and legs before she actually reached Evening Primrose. Now it was time to play invisible for nearly an hour.
She walked into the classroom with her head tucked down but took the packet from Sir Solomon with a friendly smile. It was nagging at her that she had missed the day for assignments out of all days. Though her sight had been impaired and her head felt like a hammer was beating on it, it was no excuse for not even getting a hold of the teacher and letting him know she would be absent. Because of this, she walked to the back of the room and sat in the chair farthest back.
When she sat down she flipped through the packet, clicking her pen repeatedly which was most likely annoying someone, and skimming for headings and anything she had to fill in. Nothing really stood out to her so she flipped to the front and put her name and date on the top.
Zak left the cafeteria for his first equine class which was equine reproduction, he grabbed his messenger bag and went to the barns. He loved all his classes so far and he was looking forward to equine reproduction class. He walked down to a small barn which seemed a nice barn and stopped outside the barn to see the mares in the pasture he seen the mares from a distance grazing on the luscious grass. He thought the mares were very beautiful and he would love to study them and thought about what mare would be assigned to him. He wondered how he would get on in the class and if he would make any friends so far the only friends he had at Blue Ridge were his mare- Pleasure and his cat Missy who he loved very much.
He walked into the classroom and said "good afternoon" to the teacher with a smile on his face. He took the packet and sat at the front eager to learn. Zachary rifled through the packet to see the headings and checked for anything to fill in then he got a pen from his bag and clicked it once. He started to write his name -Zachary Barrett and the date in his curly writing.

Gretchen loved that she had classes in the barn. It took away from the normal tedium of the classroom in her opinion. Just knowing there were horses right outside the door made her excited to be here. She checked to make sure she had everything she needed in her bag. A notebook, a binder with a couple folders in it, several pencils and a couple pens, yep, that seemed about everything.
Cheerfully, she headed out of her dorm and to class. When she arrived, she smiled at the teacher and took the handouts before finding a desk as far back as possible. Having horses outside was great, having no people would be better. She sat down and sighed, pulling out two pencils. These people aren't so bad, she reasoned in her head. They were better than the ones at her old school. And they were all here for the same reason, horses.
She took a deep breath before looking at the handouts that she'd been given. They were't doing anything, so she began writing her name at the tops of the papers. She didn't have the neatest handwriting in the world, but at least it was readable. Someone looking at it would definatly recognize the words, 'Gretchen Holmes' on the page.
