Personality: Beauty is kind and willing. She loves everyone and everything, which makes her a great companion horse. Due to her malnourishment, she had too much strain on her bones and organs that she will never make a competition mount and was retired, though can be taken on gentle trail rides.
Owner: BRRA
Reason for staying: Beauty was discovered by Travis and Kirk, the previous veterinarians, in someone's yard. She was malnourished, but no sign of physical neglect. She is now a long-term resident.

Name: Romeo
Gender: Gelding
Age: 4
Personality: Shy and quiet are they best words to describe this horse at the moment. Demeter was told that he's quite pushy and demanding of attention, but she had yet to see any of that. She's hoping that some quiet time will bring out his true personality.
Owner: Hallsted Family
Reason for staying: Romeo was an ADR (“ain’t doin’ right, Doc;”) call-out for Demeter. When she arrived, it had been easy to see that the youngster was suffering from extreme exhaustion, had all the classic signs of a tying-up, something easily spotted by people who actually knew horses. After spending a night at the property with the gelding on an IV, Demeter thought it was better to bring him back to her clinic until he was healthy enough to return to work.

The Personality
Personality: Cas, wears his name well, and can be a complete dragon to people he doesn't know. This is a one person kind of horse, and he's still looking for that person.
The accident on the way to his last home has left physical and emotional scars on this beauty. With time, and empathetic handler and understanding, Cas will return to his former glory.
Caution Around: Doesn't like small spaces that move (trailers, ships, scales), headshy

The History
What we know: Medical records show that Cas was the sole survivor of a truck vs horse trailer accident, there were some though that say the horse would have been better to have died, as it was trapped in upturned trailer, unable to escape due to the chain on the truck attached to his halter. It took the emergency services a good hour to stabalize the trailer and rescue the now traumatized horse, as he only had minimal burns, there was no real reason to destroy the talented eventer.

The Personality
Personality: Belle comes off as dominant, and bossy, yet that is far from the truth. She is very caring, a little too caring in the opinion of other horses, and she would love nothing more than to be a mother. Even at her young age, she has been breed a number of times already, though has never been a mother.
Due to her past, she is unsure about everything, and really knows nothing (way less than her friend and adopted daughter, Essie), so she really needs a person who can work with her from the ground up. Not only does she need to learn how to be handled, but she needs to learn that there are some two-legged people that she can trust, and the world is an exciting place to be in
Caution Around: Freaks out when contained (in small spaces, or even when tied up), terrified of the dark. Has attachment issues too, so just tread carefully.

The History
What we know: From as much as can be believed, Belle was picked up at a very young age and forced into the horrid business of a PMU farm. As soon as she was able to carry a foal, she has been bred.
How she ended up at a sale yard, and forgotten? Your guess is as good as mine.

WILLOW

The Personality
Personality: Willow is curious about everything, yet at the same time seems terrified of her own shadow, and every other shadow around her.
It may seem to some that this girl has been through too much to be able to help her, but Demeter believes that with her curious nature and young age, and of course the right person, this mare can overcome her past and learn to trust again.

The History
What we know: Willow's life started out really well, and it was when she turned three and her training under saddle started that everything went wrong.
Willow was sent to a trainer that was suggested by a friend of a friend. The trainer was said that he could teach any horse anything, and Willow's owners were excited about having her broken to saddle and harness. However, what they got back a year later was a broken horse. As the trainer believed in a very old method of breaking a horse in was to break their spirit first.
Turn out, her owners thought that time would fix all problems, but they didn't think about working with the mare from the ground during this time, so it just instilled the thought to the mare that the world was out to get her. So they gave up and Willow was sent away.
Once more released into a paddock and forgotten, Willow turned her back on everything.
