It wasn't even sort of a choir, it was a trio of girls. As the three of them entered and looked up at him, he hardly knew what to say to them. There was music they could possibly do, but the real challenge at this point would be to expand upon the small group and perhaps make it into a small jazz ensemble, something, anything. They needed to recruit, somehow. But it also depended on the type of girls he had here. If they were shy or quiet singers, or even bad singers, a trio would be difficult to pull off. It would be downright impossible if they didn't wish to do it at all.
He sat on top of a desk and folded his hands in his lap, "Well ladies, I suppose I'm going to call you my favorites. There are only three of you, and three does not a choir make. However I'm going to remain optimistic that we can make something of it, because I don't think you wish to see this choir dissolved anymore than I do. I think we should promote ourselves and see if we can't convince some other students to join us. Besides talking to your friends and peers individually and asking for people to join, perhaps it would be nice if you performed as a trio at some various events around campus, maybe homecoming or at a dance or something. Do any of you have an ideas? Or any suggestions in terms of music?"
(Hey, I'm supposed to be in this, I joined late, so I'll just post now.)
Three other girls. This wasn't enough for a Choir, this was like a garage band, and a small one at that! She listened to the teacher talk and slowly nodded, raking her brain for any sort of ideas for a choir. Music, uniforms, advertisment, anything.
Tess licked her lips and chewed on her bottom one. Slowly, an idea formed in her head "We could post a notice on the main office board saying something like 'It's not too late to sign up for choir' or something along those lines, might get someone to come." Tess said, pausing at the end.
She fidn't have much out, good music was kind of hard to come by. Suddenly a lightbulb idea formed inside her head. "We could write our own choir music too! It would be tons of fun!" The girl said excitedly. She knew it was a long shot, one that might earn her some snickers from the other girls, but it was better to try than to stand there akwardly and not meet the teachers eyes.
A beat caught on in her head, she silently prayed that he would accept her idea, she could even go back to her dorm and try to come up with lyrics for something slow and meaningful. A smile lit her face, bright and giddy, she knew she probuably looked stupid, but it sounded like so much fun, how could she help herself?
