Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Blythe glanced at the clock on her desk and then set down her pencil, her math homework mostly completed. But now, it was time to get ready for the evening cheer practice. She rose and started flitting around her room, getting dressed and then pulling her hair up into a high ponytail. After making sure that her water bottle was still full, she threw the container into her cheer bag and then left the room, pulling the room door closed behind her and then locking it before she headed out of the building.
The path to the gymnasium wasn't too long, and the weather hadn't started turning disagreeable yet, and before long Blythe was in the cheer studio, dropping her bag against the wall and then heading over to the sound system. A push of a button brought the thing to life, and then Blythe pulled out her phone, connecting it and then starting the playlist, a mixture of upbeat songs. After all, what fun was stretching without music? After fiddling with the sound so that it wouldn't block out general conversation, but still loud enough to be audible, Blythe headed back to the floor to start her own stretches.

Sina tested her shoulder gingerly, before she shrugged, "Not like I can get out of it." Her doctor's note for skipping cheer practice had run out, and so, she would make the best of it. However, no need to overdo it, and so Sina didn't bother with taking a painkiller. It might make practice easier, but it would also risk overdoing something at the same time.
After she'd gotten herself ready, Sina called Derecho over to her, buckling on the dog's harness/pack and then clipping the leash to the collar that he always wore. A few moments later, they were heading out of the door, locking it behind them and then heading out. After taking a brief moment to let the dog relieve himself, the pair made their way to the gym, and then through the various options to the cheer studio.
Sina left Derecho against the wall, along with her bag, although she made sure to keep him far away from Blythe's things. The girl seemed to dislike her, and Sina wasn't sure how she'd managed to get on the team. Blythe had been against her from the start, better not to give her even more to go on now. When she headed over to the floor to stretch, she kept her distance from Blythe as well, hoping that Kall would arrive soon so that it wouldn't just be the two of them.

Kall grinned as he ran his hand through his hair. He knew that a uniform was a uniform, but it felt great each time he put this one on for practices. He had been ecstatic when he'd discovered that he'd actually made the team, though he was even more excited that Sina had made the squad, as it wouldn't have been the same if he'd made it and she hadn't - whereas if she had made the squad and he hadn't, he wouldn't have cared, yet he would have gone to games to offer her some support.
Heading to the studio, he bounced into the room and dropped his bag down near where Derecho was resting and scanning the studio quickly, he raised his eyebrows when he saw Sina and the captain pretty much on opposite sides of the floor. With a chuckle and a shake of his head, it had seemed to be hate at first sight with the older girl and Sina so he did his best to remain between the two girls. He made his way over to the mat, closer to Sina than Blythe and began to stretch out. "Hey." He greeted Sina. "How's the bruising?" He knew it had been a while since she'd had her spill from Rolo, but it took a while for something like that to clear up, even the bruised ego.

Blythe watched as most of her new teammates entered, although the absence of Jenna was noted silently. She had told the rest of the team to come in later, as she had wanted to get some more time in with the triad of newbies... Which was now just the wonder-duo. Yes, she had guessed that these two were the ones who had been slinking around while the team was gone.
Deciding she had given Jenna enough of a chance to show up, Blythe rose from her stretches, walking over to where the other two students were stretching, “Okay. So, like I said in the message, this is more of a catch-up session. The rest of the team will be coming in in half an hour or so for regular practice, which you will be joining us in. For now, we're going to do some basics so that I can start working you into our cheers.” She paused, “Our first game is in two weeks, but don't worry if you don't catch on by then. You'll have enough time before we actually start competitions to practice.”
She considered the pair before her before she pointed to the girl, “Okay. What do you need to work on the most right now which would maybe be of use to the team?” She knew the girl had no experience with being a flyer, and she had no intention of putting her into that position yet. But tumbling passes, even mutt-girl might manage. After she had answered, Blythe's hand moved to the boy, her eyebrows raised in the suggestion that the same question now applied to him.
