Personality>> Top quality breeding and training shows. Leil Al Shaqab is quiet, bombproof, and very mild mannered. He stands patiently on the crossties, doesn't have any noticeable vices, is quick to respond to the aids with only a light touch, and has working brakes. Out in the pasture, he loves galloping and bucking and acts like every bit the prince he is. Apparently, no one has told him that he's a gelding. In general, he's an expressive horse with big movement and a love for treats. The closest thing he has to a vice is begging, but even then, he just stands still and stares intently at people while trying to look handsome. Out with other horses, he likes to be in charge and has been known to squeal at horses who get too close to his food. So far, he hasn't actually managed to kick or bite another horse.

Basic History>> Leil Al Shaqab was born with impressive bloodlines. His sire is Gazal Al Shaqab, one of the most influential modern stallions for international Arabian breeding, and his dam is Rhapsody in Black by Thee Desperado, an acclaimed Straight Egyptian mare. Despite this, Leil Al Shaqab was born as a carrier of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency. As soon as the genetic testing came back with the grim news, he was destined to be gelded.

The colt was raised in a life of luxury. He took well to expert training and proved himself as a solid competitor. As the ribbons piled up, Leil Al Shaqab moved on to competing throughout the Middle East and turning heads in the Gulf Region. He was primarily shown in Show Jumping, but Leil Al Shaqab proved himself as a capable dressage mount working through intermediate levels. Though never officially for sale, Ahmed Al-Kuwari was able to use his connections to purchase the gelding for over half a million USD and had the horse shipped to the United States.

Though never officially shown as a hunter, Leil Al Shaqab always had an attractive jump particularly at lower heights.

Personality>> Nasir is a smart horse - Too smart for his own good, sometimes, like the time where he got out of his stall and impressed a nearby girl with his spirit and flashy movements. He's a proud horse on his own, and he needs a lot of patience and understanding to help him understand that working with his rider is the best way forward. He thrives in the spotlight and almost seems to feed off of attention, and can sometimes be pushy in his quest for that - Even laughter is enough encouragement sometimes, and he has been known to play the clown at times.

Basic History>> Nasir was born in Qatar, to quite the impressive bloodline. However, he had been sold in utero to a eventing aficionado, and so he was destined to a life of sport in the United States. He was sent over at the tender age of one year, having received a basic education in being haltered and standing for grooming, and not much else.

The rest of his trade he learned slowly, culminating in his entry to the show world at a tender six years of age. However, at the very first show he attended, the path of his life changed. An inattentive groom left the kickbolt on his stall undone, and Nasir made full use of that lapse - To explore the grounds on his own, or that was the plan. He was thwarted by a girl coming back to the show barn to retrieve her own horse, who was able to catch his halter and return him to his stall.

However, that moment captured the imagination of the girl, and Liana begged her father to see about purchasing the gelding. His owner was reluctant to part, but after watching Liana and Leil compete, and seeing the care she had for her own Arabian horse, he was swayed to allow the sale. Liana had a few weeks to get used to Nasir, and is now bringing him to Blue Ridge to continue their bonding and hopefully prepare to launch their own show career.
