Full Name>> Ivan Theodore Mallon
Nicknames>> Teddy
Date of Birth>> 9/20/2003
Staff or Student>> Student
House>> Blue Ribbon House
Gender>> Male
Sexuality>> Heterosexual
Face Claim>> Owen Best
Personality>> The first thing that you'll notice about Teddy is his confidence. He's very sure of himself, to the point of being cocky at times. He's also very rash, and tends to act without thinking, which can have physical consequences (bull in a china shop) and impact his relationships with other people. He doesn't really consider others in his plans, although he doesn't really set out to get in their way - He just forgets to consider them as factors, which can come back to bite him in the butt. He is also rather stoic in many respects, his parents taught him not to complain, and just to figure out how to make something better. So if there's a problem, you may not know about it until after the fact, or until he's so stumped he absolutely has to ask for help.

Fears>> Spiders.
Losing his adoptive parents too.
Hopes>> Make his parents (all of them) proud.
Prove that he can ride, and doesn't just get favors because of connections.
Secrets>> He enjoys crocheting.
He doesn't really want to tell people who his adoptive parents are here - In case the same thing happens.
Appearance>> Standing at 5'6", Teddy can't wait for this growth spurt his mother keeps talking about - He'd like to end up at 6', althouhg in reality, he'll probably top out just under that. He's fit and muscular, although still scrawny in that way some boys are. His brown hair is naturally very curly and usually a mess - It'd be easier to manage if he cut it, but he refuses. As long as it fits neatly under a helmet, who cares? His dark brown eyes peer out from a pale face with relatively clear skin. His usual attire in normal life are button-up shirts and jeans, because they're comfortable to work in, although he does change to the more traditional English wear for actual riding.

Full History>> Teddy was born in The Plains, Virginia. His family wasn't destitute, but there wasn't a whole lot of money for extras. His father was lost in a small-plane crash when he was three years old, and Teddy barely remembers the man. One of his earliest memories is walking with his mother - He had to be about five at the time - and stopping to watch some horses in the pasture. Since then, every time they walked, they stopped to watch the horses. When Teddy was about seven, and 'ran away', he headed to the horses.
This time, however, he was found by the owner of the establishment. Karen. She had no problems with Teddy visiting the horses, and even caught one for him to touch. From then on, he came to the facility a couple of times a week at least, whenever he could sneak away. Karen taught him how to catch and groom the horses, starting with an older, retired show horse. He couldn't ride without his parent's consent, so instead of asking for it, Teddy just stayed on the ground.
Finally, one day after half a year or so, his mother grew curious, and followed her son out to see where he went. She spoke to Karen and worked out a deal - Teddy would work off his lessons, but he could ride as long as his grades didn't suffer. Lessons were always dependent on Karen's schedule, as she had to focus on competing at times as well, but Teddy still learned the basics, and soon progressed to the eventing disciplines.
When Teddy was almost ten, on an evening walk, his mother was struck by a car. Teddy, frightened by the crash, ran away, straight to his favorite horse. That's where Karen found him, although she didn't know what had happened until CPS came for the boy. From there, Karen discussed it with her husband, and finally wore him down. They went through the foster requirements, while Teddy bounced around from house to house. However, once they were cleared, he came 'home' to them, now ten years old and a lot more grown up. They went through all of the legal hoops and adopted Teddy soon after his eleventh birthday - Although they did allow him to keep his own last name.
The whole series of events had postponed Teddy's introduction to the showing world. However, finally, once he'd settled in and gotten to know his new horse, he made his debut. His potential didn't waver, and he showed very well. Slightly too well, in some cases. There were whispers that he only placed so well (especially in dressage) because of who his 'parents' were. Karen decided it was possibly a good idea for him to be trained by someone else for a while, and brought up the idea of Blue Ridge. Everyone was on board, and so Teddy applied for his freshman year.
Pet Name>> Jam
Registered Name>>
Age>> 7 years
Sex>> Neutered Male
Species>> Feline
Breed>> DLH
Registry>>
Personality>> Jam is a pretty outgoing guy, and he is absolutely gorgeous (which he knows). He's a little shy in the beginning and requires a slow approach, but once he trusts you, he is very friendly and sweet, playful and adorable. He loves hanging out in Spice's stall, letting the large horse protect him from any unwanted petters.
History>> Jam was a Trap-Neuter-Release cat that was caught in the area around Teddy's home and then released again after he healed (he has a tipped ear from that surgery). Teddy would always sneak out a piece of lunch meat or similar for the cat, and they became fast friends. When Teddy moved in with Karen and family, Jam followed, and was eventually found hanging out in the barns. Once the whole story came out, Jam was allowed into the home, and became Teddy's constant shadow when in the yard. He and Spice get along famously, so when Teddy's in school, the two generally hang out together.
